Lions hardly attack humans even when walking alone. Man commands certain respect from the animal kingdom. Avoid eye contact and avoid animals with babies. Also Lions know that humans are not their food. In some cultures if a person is attacked by a wild animal they say he had done something wrong and animal.can smell it. The place my grandpa was allocated land was deeply forested and he would encounter many wild animals like hynrs and cheetahs but they could follow him home but not attack.. Also animals have brains avoid aggression.

Lions also perceive trees as part of their natural environment. They also do not hunt trees. But if you climb the tree they would climb up and get you. They could also climb up the vehicle and get you. The real reason why they don't is because the car is actually scary and does not look like natural at all - it roars, it moves but to them it's more like a rock and there usually are more than one human on it. If you were a single man sitting in that open car while not moving you would be dead as soon as they acclimate to the strange object which is a car.

Think of it this way: a small wildcat wouldn’t dare attack a bird that’s perched on top of a Cape buffalo; a large animal that is extremely dangerous when even mildly irritated. But if the bird hops off the buffalo and flies down to the ground, *then* the cat knows it can pounce on it without risk of triggering a buffalo attack.
@sagnorm18637 ай бұрын
No I think you are all wrong. Including the guy in the video. Lions view humans as a major threat. They are almost extinct because of humans so it must be true. The only lions that are left alive are the ones that view humans as dangerous. But when humans are on vehicles, they really perceive it as one giant beast. Not a bunch of humans on a magic chariot. But a curious lion can easily figure things out. And making it obvious to the lions is a bad idea. Like standing up and waving or getting out of the vehicle and other dumb ideas.

Because in nature they always single out their prey and go for the weakest if they can. They try to separate their prey from the group during a chase. There is a method to how they hunt. They never just attack a big group because it is dangerous. So it makes sense they would view a group of humans on a vehicle the same way. Plus the don't know a vehicle is just a machine powered by humans, for all they know it's just a big creature.

I been in those open topped vehicles many times in Southern Africa. You are generally safe like the guy in the video says, certainly from predators like lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena.. However, big animals like elephant, rhino and buffalo can and do get agitated with vehicles. Elephants are probably the biggest threat. Still though, the guides are professionals and can tell the difference between genuinely irate elephants, ones who are mildly annoyed and one's who just approach a vehicle out of curiosity.

I see zero point in doing it when a protective vehicle would serve the same purpose without the same level of risks. I never intend to be that one in 1 million, or whatever the odds are. @indigenius987713 күн бұрын
Entirely wrong. Wild lion will climb safari vehicles and engage with humans directly. The vehicle is simply another object to them and if it isn't moving eventually their curiosity will engage, they will engage their senses to test their prey drive against the vehicle and likewise with the humans aboard the vehicle. These safari companies always send out men on observation and recon scouting missions ahead of their guests for a pride of lions that have just fed or they feed them before their guests arrival which is how and why they always drive directly to the lions instead of driving around in patterns searching the area for lions. It's a scam for stupid lazy people who get an adrenaline hit from being close to a full lion that's already stretched its stomach as far as it can so they can't eat any more and their prey drive is satiated. Lion don't kill for sport, they kill for necessity.
