For those who think Elgin used Joy pretty well and are amazed by her dmg output, I would love to let you all know that he was only dealing about 50% of her actual maximum DMG output. For those who don't know, you can basic attack mid-dash, so the real combo should be (2nd, basic, 1st, 2nd, basic, 2nd, basic, 2nd, basic, 2nd, basic, ult, 1st) You can then imagine how dead you must be as an enemy having to tank that because you can't really run away from Joy unless she misses her dash, you're fanny or idk, skill diff lmao I currently have over 100 matches, 85% wr mythical glory 800+ this season and would only lose if the enemy has too much burst and a franco, because suppression counters cc immunity of her 2nd skill :(

Also another tip is to first skill on jungle creeps to increase speed and shield. Also place first skill on the ground during ult even if there's no enemies because the shard will be absorbed if u go through it which increases speed and shield to chase enemies

The reason why Joy is popular is her insane mobility that allows her to rotate and impact skirmishes faster than her opposing laner. She can also easily escape ganks which gives her teammates space to make plays for objectives. Late game, she can be really annoying and can zone out the enemy backline. If her advanced server changes ever make it live, her popularity will probably drop.

You know what I do when I play joy? Flat out tank build💀, I won't get killed plus I get to waste enemies' skills and it's easier to complete her beats not worrying about dying beforehand. with my experience, I find her better to use as a roamer with a dire hit (still tank build) and keep the enemy dmg dealer focus fire on you while teammates free hit.

Joy is amazing but the recent rework on advance server just kills her. I think she is balanced in all senses, people that have a hard time playing against her are mostly people that don’t know when to attack her. She counters a lot of stun based heroes but has the right dmg to let them respond when she ults, they just have to wait before trying to stun her. Morover, she is also almost useless against some other heroes like Hilda or Dyrroth or Paquito which are actual exp lane monsters, or Franco, Minsithar, Valir… even a flameshot in the right moment cuts her dash combo or makes her go back when she chases you while she ults. People complain about her because they don’t know how to counter the hero, and the changes Moonton did on advance server makes the Joy experience so different.

@@casbdav I actually thought that Joy immunity is “on” not only while she dashes, but also the whole time we hear the beats. That’s at least what I understand reading the dash skill description. And as far as I know Joy’s immunity does not work against enemy skills that move Joy. That’s why Dyrroth, Hilda or Paquito (or the flameshot) can cut the dash combo; also Edith, Zilong or Guine with their airborne skills, or Kufra whatever he does (I don’t understand Kufra but I hate him so much). I mean, that’s what I have understood by reading the dash skill description and playing with her a lot, but I can be wrong (and maybe that explains why I have been sometimes stunnes while the dash combo, or maybe there’s some bug with Joy immunity).

I just hope the joy changes don't go through. It may be good on paper but its not. Joy is a weird assassin. Usually assassins have upfront burst (like harley/fanny for example) where you can go in, shoot all your skills for 1 second, then get the hell out. Joy can't do that, because you need to play around her "rhythm". Meaning joy needs to be somewhat "tanky" because she needs to survive long enough to cast her ultimate. Putting resistances on her ult where it takes so long to cast "properly" is just detrimental. Joy dmg is already bonkers with 2 items (assuming you did it with the beat). Removing the shield and movement speed for dmg just solidifies her as a super early snowball carry, and makes her fall off harder late game where she's easy to burst down. Less dashes means less waveclear for lane joy and even less mobility which is obviously the selling point on her kit. Moonton even nerfed the CD of the 2nd skill so hard it takes so long for it to come up again and Joy is useless without it.

I tried for Joy and I was just using by jungle/retribution. Only different I was editing my emblem and item but just one of my defense. I need clock of destiny making her helpful during to the team fight.

I got 14 win streak from M4 to M2 using Joy. Using her most as roaming cause she is so annoying and if mid lane. Seldomly chooses the exp lanes especially Lapu is almost always open in ranks and getting picked most of the time by either teams

maybe because some players have shitty internet speed so a hero who relies solely for fast internet connection is a no no. As for me, i only use marksman or fighter who mostly do basic attacks because i can't trust my data connection speed. It is so sad i really want to use assassin heroes but i can't because of the internet problem not because of the skills.

I like joy playstyle since im one of the people that casually play rythm game on basis, but i also hate playing joy becuz i keep getting to aggressive in my lane which in result i died
