You didn't mention the biggest issue....corrupt officials...Every year crores of our hard earned money is spent by them and unfortunately no one knows where that money goes. The drains are cleant every year but left out so that it goes back n they get another contract. I also blame the people in our city for the dirtiness which also causes the clogging of drains.

This is happening since ages, yet no proper planning has been taken into consideration Main issue- no proper drainage system and no waste segregation system,Rebuilding roads unnecessarily every year, no rainwater harvesting plans, no new plantation growth and above all BMC officials are corrupt.

The Indian attitude is always "adjust". Even if something is absolutely shitty, you're just expected to shut up and go with it. Whether it's law enforcement or infrastructure, it's always the same problem. And it's not limited to Mumbai. Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, literally every Indian city has this problem. And we can't do anything about it. Whether it's BJP or Congress, it never improves.

It's not the city sewage creating the problem, it's the garbage & other stuffs recklessly being dumped into steams & drains whole year around n then we except city drains to function normally in rainy season.

In The name of “development “ nature & open spaces r under attack. ..passing the plan which included Aarey forest …. Is this the development? Wonder what environment ministries do? There should be a rule that every redevelopment project should have minimum 60% open space ,tress,… since vertically towers with even 30 + floors r being built.. not so good quality air, water logging, ..no cross ventilation, sunlight let Mumbai breathe & live again, no more suffocation. Let sparrows , butterflies the environmental test bless Mumbai again God bless our Mumbai..

This is india we pay high tax and in return we get nothing. Lives of poor people is close to none. Many politicians and government employees have no shame being corrupt and not doing their job. Indians are trained into having least expectation even after paying high tax.
