Due to my own health problems I have done the walk rather than using the stairs. Yes it is a long way. I tend to find those people who are designing these step free routes are probably not disabled themselves. Yes I understand about electricity/gas/telephones/water services may have to be moved. Victoria is one of the worst. Even with my problems I can get out of the station quicker without using the step free than I can by using it.

If only we knew in advance if the train was going to arrive on platform one, if not, I'd wait at East Finchley for one showing 'platform one'

I agree. Public transport particularly exists for the less able, and with the £126 million surplus TFL's got, their top priority should be making every station step-free. It'll take pressure off buses too.

​@@BristolREPlus, if they can't yet afford to extend the Bakerloo Line all the way to Lewisham, they should at least take the first step and extend it to Burgess Park

Nice video Peter, the only thing I agree with you is that those steep hills is too long to get up to the street from the station and it can be really tiring! But the station is not bad though for me.

I lived in Barnet (Leicester Road) for a few years and I had no problems with the station but I was in my 20s and 30s then so I see your problem. I Loved Barnet it is great to see the station really has not changed...

try living in Nottingham where there’s a hill on top a hill higher than the London topography! The stairs on the tube make it hard for us with the pram, and a toddler… the elizabeth line is a lot nicer for step free but TfL have never spent the money where it needs to be spent.

Does look difficult There are quite a few problems at that station A few years back a person fell under a train and had life changing injuries

My personal least favourite station is a toss up between Stratford, Bank/Monument and Kings Cross. All three are truly terrible to navigate at times
