I had a similar situation. I was renting an apartment and a pigeon made her nest on my balcony, and laid some eggs. I called Rabbi Falk, ztzl, in Gateshead and asked him what to do. He said it was better that I was renting and not owning the apartment. He also said to do the job at night, because that's when it's vadai it's the mother, not the father. The father is left there during the day but takes frequent breaks and flies away!!! At night the mother, who takes parenthood a lot more seriously than the father NEVER leaves! But she put up a very impressive resistance. I started by clapping - nothing. Then I squirted water at her - nothing.....As a last resort I took a broom to shoo her away, and that worked. But by the next morning....the eggs had been removed! She wasn't happy to leave her chicks near a violent person like me!! Thank you for all of your fascinating, wonderful shiurim. A k'sivah v'chasima tova.
