At this point I feel like the FOMC should just recommend in its statements that committee members watch through your stream/video backlog to understand their policy considerations, Simon.

I love how they wipe their hands clean by blaming their own mandate for their actions. “What would you have us do? We are MANDATED to cause economic harm in order to stay in power” 🤷🏻

Please go back to these types of informative videos. The livestreams are cool sometimes but I don’t have the time to listen to people’s stupid comments and assertions. Thanks Simon for everything you do!!

So if the fed determines inflation 2% average overtime and perception of inflation being high (high inflation expectations) is needed to stimulate the economy. Or else the economy will perceive lower inflation and create a low inflation environment which would cause for a need of actual higher inflation. And since QE fed balance sheet doesn't touch the "real" economy and forward guidance determines economic reality. And debt is bounced around from bank to bank (src: rebel capitalist). We really have been just going off of vibes this whole time? Is the economy just a vibe check? I'm most curious about how to debunk the hyperinflation theory. Not to beat a dead horse. I've certainly listen to what you've said in regards to covid supply shock, bullwhip effect, and supply and demand resulting from the lock downs. But I cant for the life of me kill the idea that all of this policy and fed behavior is just a front to hide a hyperinflationary scenario that has yet to be realized. Also is hyperinflation through debt a thing by chance?

2% is a number, that the fed, wants people to think is normal, when in fact it's a higher number, because of the spending by the congress, who have not a care, about inflation.

Elevated inflation expectations , win for the fed.

M.2 expansion averages 6.75%. Developed countries grow about 2 or 3% per year. 3.75% seems closer to the real number.

Looking backward with blinders on. The Fed is blithely unconcerned with asset price inflation, yet we live in an asset economy.

Well, Kamalatoe is much more likely to allow the banks to all fail than Trump is. And letting the entire Ponzi scheme "finally" achieve true value is what needs to happen if the 1% is going to become the 25%. The windup? Vote Kamalatoe and say good bye to your retirement account and home equity. I will be there to pick you up from amongst the smoking ruins.
