I went to sleep with a bit suicidal thoughts circling around my mind. I couldn't get any sleep and got bored with trying, so I headed to KZbin and watched random videos in the hopes of falling asleep while doing it. At some point a got this urge to check out Omeleto again, even tho I had decided to not do it again for religious reasons. I watched some of your short films anyway, and time went by. The last one I watched was about the prison chef who wanted to be more. After finishing it I felt good for some reason. These random (somewhat) everyday stories about people living their lifes and getting trough their problems inspired me to get up and go take a quick shower and wash my teeth, and prepare myself properly for sleep. I wasnt supposed to watch short films and yet it made my night a whole lot better in a surprising way!

Got some "Big Fan" vibes off of this one. Really well done. I like how scary and evil he seems just from the way he is presented, but by the end we learn he's more vigilante than villain. The anxiety he provokes is the darkest aspect of him. Meanwhile, we're left almost completely to ourselves to imagine what moral compass guides the director character, or indeed the actress. Just reminds me so much of the contrast between the brothers in Big Fan, except there the main character is shown in a much more sympathetic light; you're almost rooting for him. This is such a great alternate direction to take that concept.

That is how it works actually... Blackmail threat is about rationality, calculating benefits and harm ,or more accurately different degrees of harm. if the emotion of the victim gets hyped they will react erratically and would not give in to the threat. Hence, blackmailers are always polite, or more accurately not vulgar, their tacit message is think carefully about this and consider the consequences before you act; which requires calmness. Unlike physical threats for example which about raw emotions of fear of corporal harm.
