"Girls that don't exist " featured on the groups debut album released in 1979 entitled "Shades in Bed.This was originally a Kursaal Flyers song written by Will Birch and Ritchie Bull.
Bass player Phil Brown sings lead .
The band was founded in 1978 by Will Birch and John Wicks who were later joined by Huw Gower and Phil Brown.

i loved these songs. the records were def one of my teen idols. unfortunately me and two other girls in my high school were the only ones that could understand good music when it slapped us in the face. i bought everything they had released in the u.s. too bad not very many others could understand these guys the way we did. we were the only wavers in the school wearin 501 button up fly levis, purple converse high tops, with slim collared shirts and thin ties. we were the mob. good days-good memories.

What a record. I got turned onto these guys in 2004 by my dad but I've played Shades in Bed and Crashes so many times I might as well have been listening to them since 1980!

Was a superlative debut album that was lost in the flood of exciting music that was released that year across the rock world. Always thought this was a band built to last and was saddened as the wheels fell off and they went their separate ways. This, "Starry Eyes" and "All Messed Up" were gems on an album that sparkled. Thanks for posting this!
