@@RBR-lo2ei Yep after Season 3 or when it was for a few years in seasons 4 & 5 the New Red Green Show in season 4 onward 3M was a sponsor for The Show. Before this they had to get own Duct Tape, often using Duck brand as that is one that you can get really skinny rolls to show a nearly empty roll very easily or using up quicker for better effect of more rolls, 3M was mainly until the show being sponsored having very big rolls of the standard width.

I remember being so sad when I learned the show stopped production. It's a brand of humor that not everyone either gets or likes. My wife thinks it's dumb, I think it's brilliant! I always get a good laugh out of these and I'm not even Canadian!. Thank goodness we have what we have. Thank you Rick Green, Steve Smith and all the rest of the cast and crew. Coll thing is the I was friends with a guy who's uncle worked for 3M until he reitired, invented Mr. Fixall for the company, man that stuff now The Mr Fixall Putty can really fix anything that will not be fixed with the correct material or for cracks in items, we had a handle made for a coffee cup the handle fell off just to see how well it works well friend's father did .who used that stuff like crazy, as he was an apartment manager/owner of a few apartments.

@@haroldwilkes6608 The cheap stuff is annoying. I have used knock off brands of duct tape before and in general you have to use more of it, and the glue seems to wear off faster. For quick and dirty projects it's not too bad but given you have to use twice as much I don't think your saving any money. Then there is Gorilla tape... which is like Duct tape on Steroids.

funny enough, Red's comment about going outside and DOING things when it's cold making it more bearable actually has some truth to it. Your body will acclimate if you expose yourself, safely. I remember watching a video about winter cycling that explained that even -20 and -30 temperatures won't be that bad and will be less noticeable the more times you are out there in it. Of course, one must still dress appropriately because frostbite is very real

Yes I’ve had frostbite on my foot when it went through the ice when I was a child. I got home and it was not so bad until it started thawing out when it was getting warm it burned and hurt like crazy. That was a bad day but I did not have any lasting effects from it, thankfully I was able to get inside before it got really bad.

I happen to be a handyman (whose projects actually work, though) and I never use duct tape. My secret weapon is actually a Swiss army knife. Dang thing has screwdriver blades, can opener, and all sorts of stuff on it. Even a toothpick to use after snacks, and, for some reason, this corkscrew thing I haven't found a good use for.

Duct tape is not good for repairing heating ducts; the heat melts the adhesive. It wasn't even originally called "duct" tape but "duck" tape because it's waterproof or close to it.
