I love your freedom, Will. It's something I experienced when I was in my 20's, and, now, at 65, I yearn to retrieve it for my peace of mind. Freedom to explore, to laugh, to see the landscape for what it is, is something every human being must revive within themselves at least once in their life time. I hope hope to do it twice. It seems you've retained it always. I am glad for you, my friend. Cheers.

Will, respecting your knowledge of ancient technology as I do, it occurred to me watching this video that we should also respect the modern technology that enables us to share your journey. If only more of us learned to use that technology with respect to ,and for the benefit of mother Earth.

The places you want to go to explore have called to me since I was little, as a result, I am excited to see your videos of these places. Look at that amazing amount of seafoam! That's a result of algae. I remember someone once said courage is 3 parts bravery to 1 part fool. I have a feeling you may have better luck at low tide. Thanks for some wonderful content as always Will!

Great video Will! This was great watching you both being so enthusiastic for archaeology and nature! and having a laugh! love the scenery and the chat! I hope you find the cave soon!....I went with my brother and gf to find the langdale flint mines near Pike O stickle...needless to say we got hopelessly lost on the scree slopes! All the best - Martin.

I'm loving this series already :) Consider visit Swedens oldest grave, the Barum or Bäckaskog Women. She was a hunter gatherer that died 9000 years ago. It's in southern Sweden so then u can also get your hands on some Swedish flint material if you like ;)

That was really cool going with you on that adventure. That foam was so crazy. I think you did better with the red lady that was with you. LOL Maybe next time you'll find the other one.

If ever there was a landscape & atmosphere hung for the poet's haunted eye... Well it sure has enough for those of the likes of Robert Plant. Nevertheless Will... Fine camera work from the red lady whose hair is red as my beard was at her age. The hunt brought to mind what another Brit had coined in one of his works. ''Diggin' in the dirt. Findin' all those places where we got hurt.'' -Peter Gabriel

Me and my brother did the same haha, we had to go down 4 or 5 times before we caught the tide out. When we left we had to wade through the water though 😂

Next time you are there don’t drop down all the way as if you are heading to the shore - look to your right and you’ll see a route that skirts the cliff - it’s a bit dicey an you have to step across as void at one point but it then takes you around to the base of the cliff and the caves --

The head would have been kept by the family. In our Welsh , Brythonic past that is. It would be on display with the relatives of the deceased. Some are found under the central hearths. Diolch yn fawr.

Oh mate you were so bloody close, when you were buggering about in that foam the cave entrance was literally about twenty feet above your head on the right hand side, you were actually level with the entrance to it. you were right not to wade through that foam though, you would have broken your ankle, and just a bit of a heads up for next time, its very unlikely you will ever get up to that cave without getting wet feet, maybe in the height of a boiling summer with the tide right out the pools may dry up enough but very doubtful, so take some thigh waders, such a shame you didnt get to sit there and feast on the thoughts of what it would have looked like to be that "lady" looking out of that cave, next time though

Will Lord Prehistoric Survival urban survivor is right. The cave is just round the corner from the foamy area. You don’t need ropes to reach it. You can stay high on the right hand side of the foamy gully and as long as you are careful it’s not a tricky scramble round. At low tide it is also accessible through that gully without getting wet but you would need to go at complete low tide especially in winter. There is also a secret entrance on the right hand side of the gully just a little way up the slope. You can then scramble down into the cave from above but you will need to take care this way as it is a little steep. Hope this helps. Keep up the good work and videos :)

@@WillLordPrehistoricSurvival no need to go that extreme mate, i never have, ive always been there in the summer and waded through shallow water in my shorts onto the cliff below the cave and walked up, it isnt steep, not dangerous and easy to see the tide coming in, i dont believe theres ever any worry about the cave being flooded out by really high tides, its never been too high for me to just wade back through on my way out, so the abseiling is just for the excitement of seeing it from that angle i think, certainly no need for ropes

I love most of your videos, but I do hope you invest in a good clip-on bluetooth microphone at some point, sir, something with a good fuzzy sponge or other covering to help mute the wind noise. There are just far too many moments in the wind where I can't make out a word of what you're saying, and that's a shame.
