Hi Corbin, you definitely provide very motivational video's on trying to provide hope for this team. I give you much credit for doing so. I think the hitting will definitely do a lot to help out, but that pitching staff just does not have enough of what it needs. Hendricks will be a breath of fresh air, but Cora already said, he needs 6 - 7 relief appearances over the next few weeks, and they do not want to bring him back too soon, not worth it this year. Slaten will be much better than Garcia, but just note that of the 3 months he pitched at least 11 Innings (April - June) he had a great April under 1 ERA, but the other two months were above 4 ERA and was showing signs of needing more seasoning, (we can't send him down to minors due to rule 5 pitcher though) I don't think they have anyone in the minors who can help out or they would have brought them up already.. The next 5 games are going to be really tough too. Let's say they somehow go 3-2, even if the KC goes 2-3, you've gained only 1 game. Also don't forget that the Sox sometimes don't play great against really bad teams, I believe they split a 4 game series with the Sox already this year and lost the series to Colorado. I just think they should just keep trying and bring up players to see what they can do for next year in September and that will make the front office happy. I don't get a positive feeling that they have the we will prove you wrong mentality, they are too young and the defense is also not good enough along with the worst BP right now. I hope they prove me wrong, but at least they are entertaining at times and I can see hope down the line. Keep up the positive vibes for everyone, it's what makes your videos so great.

When you were going over the schedule, all I can think about how it was a shame Boston didn’t get Houston early in the year. My keys to success: Score a lot and score early. Runner on third, less than two out - put the ball in play. Stop striking out. Starting pitching gives up three runs or less over 5 - 6 Defense needs to make the plays they should make and all runs given up need to be earned. They need to score big and by the time the bullpen is in, have at least a four to five run lead. Even then, the offense needs to keep scoring runs. If the score is they)re up 2-1 in the seventh, more than a 50% chance they lose. I’m really not too optimistic, but Corbin, as much as it’s humanly possible to see it, you always find the bright side and I respect that.

@@metaldams78 fair enough. Most fans would see that everything changes in the postseason. Not Astros fans. Where the Astros are concerned, nothing changes. ALCS or World Series every year. Out of Bregman, J. Pena, Yordan, and Tucker none of them has ever played in a season that they didn’t at least make it to the ALCS (including 4 WS appearances). Anything can happen, of course. But the season series is not encouraging. The BoSox can’t beat the Astros without Tucker, without Bregman, when the ump is even trying to give the game to the Sox. Not to mention the Astros committing 4 errors (which three haven’t done in 3 years). It doesn’t seem promising. It seems like a wild card position is the BoSox World Series this year. The Red Sox have Giolito next season. But this Red Sox team needs pitching. And I don’t see any sellers on the horizon. Who wants to sell a young starter? But bigger than that, what young starter wants to be traded or sign as a free agent in Boston? If this Red Sox team doesn’t make defense next year a priority nothing is going to happen. Got to stop committing more errors than everyone else. Give Anthony, Teel and Meyer a cup of coffee. Let them come up and get some blood flow going. Maybe one or two play out of their minds. This is how you build excitement and increase VALUE. Can we find some pitching in Japan? Got to find it even if we have to bribe someone to do it. I like Fenway Park. Who doesn’t but how do we add more seats? We need 40,000 seats. Nothing wrong with John Henry. He’s an incredible owner. Look at his results. The problem with this team is all the ENTITLED narcissist fans who wear pink hats and can’t accept the fact there was no great starting pitching available this season to buyers. Maybe Henry opens his wallet next year. I think he did the right thing this year in staying patient. Letting players develop. I can see baseball developing into 13 relievers for a season, with nobody wanting to pitch the first three innings! The league wants more offense. Don’t be surprised if they lower the mound again and add aluminum bats. AI. If it happens they’ll bring in women managers and umps. I’m already half out of mlb, so it won’t take much to completely turn me off and skate.
