The Mordred part reminded me of one of my favorite birthdays my friend did. We all went to medieval times and, being the drunk nerds we were, started all chanting "The King in the North" when to villain came out. We did it randomly as a joke at first but once our knight got eliminated we went full North hype squad. During the final fight we were full on cheering as a section for the villains. Guy came over to our group after the show and we talked a bit, he loved that he had a fan squad.

The 71 game happened in Martin, TN. I researched it years ago for a story on it. I talked to some eyewitnesses. At the time, they were very shocked and sad, but the infamy of the Trotters losing there has now become a badge of honor for those in attendance and the town.

Some of the best people I have ever met were performers and sport folks. As much as doing this job killed the magic of sports and live events for me the media folks, players and artists were lovely people and even treated us with respect. This is a great video dude. Reminds me one time I was into minor league baseball and I went to a Pawsox game. My family are red sox fans but we were sitting near center field, and the opposing teams center fielder was being boo'd by some kids near us. I was also young so I started to cheer for him, and call his name, chant for him all by myself despite rocking red sox gear. At the end of one of the innings he made an out and turned around and pointed to me and threw me a ball. Then after the game he saw me when they were boarding the bus and he signed the ball for me. Root for the underdogs sometimes, even when they lose

And yes, The great thing about the games is that the teams are evenly matched and that they all play to win, and in 2026, it will be the start of the BananaBall League. 6 teams (with will include the Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters and the new team, the Tailgaters) each playing a 60 game season and then all teams will be playing in the championship at the end.
