Edvinnson is soft, Kasper isn't even close to ready an wallinder is a future bottom pair defenseman at best. Yzerman has unfortunately had no draft luck at all yet. Only seider n Raymond are his only good picks so far. Edvinnson could get better but he's not there yet. I don't understand why Kasper got picked in the top ten. Not nearly offensive enough for a top ten selection. I'm hopeful for Danielson and ASP in a few years. They have better potential.

One of the things that stood out to me is the shots of the players on the bench, everyone is silent and looks disinterested. It’s baffling to me how depth scoring has been a highlight of this team and when we need it most everyone has disappeared. Where is the leadership? Someone has to step up. As far as the goalie situation goes I feel like we're developing a reputation of overworking goalies and running them into the ground. Nedeljkovic played well until he didn't, Husso played well until he didn't, now Lyon played well until he didn't. In my opinion it doesn't matter if we develop Cossa or Augustine well because we'll run them into the ground too if our team defense doesn't improve. And if this team is nothing without Larkin then they don't deserve to make the playoffs. Someone needs to step up and Lalonde needs to find a way to get these guys going.

They dont even skate. they are moving around the ice like they are dragging Anchors. end of the 1st period, and ONLY 5 SHOTS??? they are playing like complete dog crap, just like thier sponsor. and the Defense just stands around and watches the other team shoot and score. A Goalie cannot carry the team. we need to fire the Coach and hire someone new. Every single shot Lyon let in, including the called back one should have been stopped easily. Lalonde has to be held accountable for not having this team ready. there are several guys that are dumpster fires playing lots of minutes. This six game stretch, yes they have been turning the puck over at a stupid rate but the goal tending has been horrible. It don't matter how many great saves you make if you let in the soft goals and are constantly falling out of position you are trash. Husso is and has been trash since the 3rd week of his first season, Lyon looked great for about 15 games and then got worse as his playing time increased and Reimer is what Reimer is. I don't want to fucking hear about how a goalie has too much of a work load and that is why they can't stop simple shots. goalies used to play over 50 games a season on a regular basis. We have 3 back up goalies, 5 bad 3rd line defense men, pretty much 3 lines of wtf, no puck control ability from any of those lines. They act like the puck is a hot potato in their own zone, dump and chase don't work when you dump the puck in, don't get to it, or constantly over skate it and even worse get bumped off the puck by a fart. I'm not overreacting these things are happening, even when they were on the winning streak they turned the puck over way too much and yes the soft goals were still going in just not as many. This is unwatchable hockey and for the love of god Chris Osgood is cringe to listen to on the play by play. I'm pissed off because I thought we were getting better, it felt good but this season may be done even with 18 games left. You had a 10 point cushion and looked like a bunch of monkeys humping a football until the cushion was gone, You have no time left. If you didn't have urgency the last few games I highly doubt you will in the last stretch. prove me wrong Redwings, prove me wrong Derek Lalonde, even if by some miracle you do put it together and squeak in you are getting bounced in round one because this team is not good enough. Thanks for making me look stupid for thinking you were becoming a good hockey team it feels real good.

The criticism is valid, as so many here state that it is 1.Lalonde 2.Vet's, flaws. Does it really help to send up 1-3 new youngsters then from the AHL e.i. who will/expected correct the team's shortcomings? Should the staff start panicking to change just because a losing streak is here, every team will have one for a season. I see no reason to send up youngsters when the team lacks skills and role players. However, the staff needs to rally the toops BUT who in the locker room is that person? The team has too many sluggish starts (lack of person(s) ? Who are our vocal leaders in the room, Chiarot, Perron.. The team is missing its best player, Lark. For me, Larks is the heart (the engine) of the team but not the voice as Larks is very good at other things, but not an "high end" S.Y leadership guy (no criticism on Lark here). Intake of Vet's presence is to fill gaps in the team in the last two years. However, the team has 8 or more new players today, made the team better (most are better than everyone else) but it may not be enough for the playoffs, I'm okay with that. Last year I stated that RW is 3-5 years away from becoming a stable playoff team, meaning that the team is good enough to make it. Cup contenders, no, but that means the team has a higher goal than "play meaningful matches". What we still see today is just this, a couple more important games THAT can take us to the playoffs. So something better than the previous season, I'm okay with that too. For me, RW is just a team who have a lot of offensive players and not a lot of defensive players to play a complex F1-F3 system. Lacks foot speed, strong net presence, weight, strength and skill to maintain control of the puck, not size of the individual player. E.I Perron is one of the best in the league at what he does, too bad for RW he's "just" abow +30. It is precisely the lack of these player types that forwards have difficulty playing F1-F3 systems in the O-Zone & D-Zone. Deficiencies that lead to our defenders' own shortcomings being multiplied and so on. When S.Y stood pat during TDL, I stopped following RW live after the Vegas game as I live in Sweden. The fact that it's a shit show today is not worth my sleep & headache, as I get extremely frustrated with the "looks" that have existed during the season. For me, Lalonde is a very good coach who fits well in a team that is in development phases (as I see RW too be in). He is a "player's coach" and I understand why so many EU players love him as an Swede I really do. However, he is in his second year as head coach, have more realistic demands on him. Lalonde is a fantastic communicator, however I find him a bit too "soft" and "inactive" at times. Rarely use time outs, never sit a player out during a bad day on work, rarely show strong emotions in the booth. Sure complains and screams about the Ref's wrong decision at times, but no more. I expect to see a really active GM during the off season. Hopefully not 8 new faces in the team, but half of them to fill gaps in today's line up. Some of the new faces will be players from our pipeline others will come from the open market. The question then becomes, WHO will take over the contracts on older veterans who do not add anything of value e.i. Holl. Being a RW fan is the same as riding a giant roller coaster with extreme feelings of High and Low's. As an older person who became a fan of RW when S.Y started playing, this is not good for my health. #LGRW

A 21 Year old Raymond should not be the guy driving the car if Larkin's out. But he is and good for him at least. What we see today is a team completely without confidence where all of a sudden everyone looks very uncomfortable and desolate on the ice, as you say yourself. I'm not "technically" opposed to making the easiest change, as you suggest. The question is more about whether they are mature to bear the increased demands from fans and media that exist at the moment or bad timing for them in the end. I think it´s better to keep them in GR where they all ride on the success they themselves created in the AHL "on that team" and which was desired by Stevie from the start of the season. My answer will be, the latter as this year's edition of RW can only be changed during the off season, since Stevie stand pat at TDL. He really love those draft picks, of course he does ;) I maintain that Stevie bears the ultimate responsibility for how the team plays today as he has not made the necessary moves when there are assets to use. Keeping assets in the AHL instead of moving them up or bundling them together with someone older Vet, to get rid of the excess fat, he signed this year e.i Holl (jesus). As you say yourself, there are plenty of players in the lineup who clearly consider themselves untouchable and completely heartless. Then it's about the GM and the coach's roles to solve it by actively. Here I think Stevie has been listening too much to Lalonde, to believe in the team jadda-jadda. Which we see and hear today was a bad decision. As it is today, it is considered count as being good to lose and not win, or it is said that we will not reach the playoffs, completely the wrong message to say during the media bubble.
