It depends on the time of year - we have low, medium and high seasons here when it comes to tourism. My suggestion would be to check this on their website :)

it says the airport is 8 minutes from here, will that be the main airport where u arrived...?

Cancún is the closest airport - it is an hour away from Playa del Carmen/Playacar (there is a small airport in Playa del Carmen but it is for light aircrafts)
