Did any Italian submarines continue in Axis service after the 1943 surrender? Did any go into Allied service? If yes on either Id love to see a follow up

Yes some italian subs were based in Malaya. Germans acquired them after surrender. After their surrender japanese took them.

They have many. At the start of the war they had one of the biggest submarine fleet.

@@HiddenHistoryYT The Italian Culo-class submarines were among the quietest subs to have served in WWII. Great in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic approaches to Gibraltar. Just not enough in numbers.
