The thing is, male reindeer will commonly shed their antlers in winter, while females keep them. And since it's obviously winter, that could be a reason the antlers could be a toggle and the one without antlers is a default. The reason they may look bad may also just be the atrocious colours, it might look better when we see it's default. Apart from the missing antlers and short snout though, personally I love design despite the chunkiness. They just look so wonky and silly, can't wait for them to come out :DD

I don’t like the og deer design for reindeer tbh. They are good for regular deer but caribou are big and fluffy! I actually like the model hahah I do wish it was more lengthy tho. And there better be an antler option. >:(

This is beyond disappointing. I was looking forward to potentially getting a better deer model the same way Asiatic lions gave us a better lion model ;_; It's like they took everything wrong with the polar bear and translated it into ungulate form. Whichever AJ artist decided this looked good desperately needs to go back to practicing proportions and not be placed in charge of finalized designs.

it looks absolutely rancid what is going on 😭😭 i’ll give them some credit since the last two updates have been relatively big (night of the phantoms is always a big update, and the november update gave us two new animals) but the reindeer model is so disproportionate. The original deer model is such a better example of what the reindeer should’ve looked like, but they decided to make something completely different and off to what irl reindeer look like anatomically. I think my viewpoint would have been different if their snouts were at least longer but right now it just looks like a capybara-cow hybrid

My personal suggestion is using the deer as a base model. More blocky torso, broader snout, smaller eyes and ears, their distinct markings and antlers Also reindeer shed their antlers like any other deer just for clarification

I do like the model of the reindeer, and I am likely certain that Animal Jam will add a toggle feature to the reindeer so that, like, jammers don’t have to complain about the look without the antlers.
