I really love the idea of love being an abundant resource rather than a scarcity. Also openness to how a relationship can change with time, I think that's important to respect and leave space for.

So much more is possible when we leave space for things to be different from how they are already. Thanks for your comment.

Super interesting takes on the original manifesto, you really add more layers to it! :) I shared your video with some polycurious comrads, I feel like it's a wholesome approach that's perfect for starters. Thanks!

Are you familiar with 'free love'? Is RA similar to this?

Great question, yeah I'm familiar with free love. RA as a unique movement/concept could be said to be a descendant of the free love movement. however, people have been practicing something akin to RA longer than the term has existed. RA and free love seem to share in common a critique of patriarchy, however I think RA is different in that it's much more well developed theoretically and also includes a focus on our responsibilities to others. if you'd like to learn more, there's a book that gets really in depth on this called "Occupy Intimacy," by Juan-Carlos Perez-Cortes

Free love was also connected to anarchist thought in the Emma Goldman era. I would say that is a seed that was planted that definitely influenced the development of other non traditional relationship styles and relationship anarchy. I don't know how much the 60s free love era had to do with that tho
