The Remington 12A at the range and on the bench

The boys and I took the Remington pump 22 out for a range day. The Remington 12A is fun little shooter that was easy to load and make go bang. There's just something extra fun about a pump 22.

I still have my Grandfather's. It is marked "Patent applied for JNY 5, 1909". Still works great. He taught me on this and a Marlin 39a when I turned 5 years old. He taught me well. They WILL have to pry this one from my cold dead hands.

I recently got my grandfather’s 12a but haven’t shot it yet. Just wondering what type ammo did you use? I’ve read to avoid high velocity -

I have using Remington green box bulk ammo. With the .22 long rifle not being very high pressure, I never really worried about hurting the gun.
