Hehe why not insert the rubber thing 1st then heat it after to Lessen the stress of the heated rubber😅

thanks for posting. I saw lots of video’s with an awl repair, but yours gave me the “thermoplastic” confidence to try this method of bonding the two faces and it worked well :-)

The metal edge of a saw, and a gas cooker. Yes, the heat will bond the broken piece together.
