The pile of parts is what I'm afraid of. Both my 1940s mills Work but one doesn't pay out. The penny's go into the pay tube but won't pay out. The other is a nickel machine. It works OK. I am afraid of breaking something if I take it apart. LOL

Hi thanks for posting this. I have a Bally Quarters 2p machine & if I play it with the door closed the reels don't spin properly & slow or stop. If I open it a little the Reels 1&2 are fine but Reel 3 spins initially but slows while the mechanism clicks in time. If I open the door completely Reels 1&2 still fine & Reel 3 still slowing before time. Any idea what's causing it? Thanks

Hi. I have a few questions: 1) How does the flicker spin the wheels, what part of the wheels does it flick, also are the wheels spring loaded? 2) I know the wheels spin individually, but how does each wheel connect with its appropriate payout disk, because the disks are all to the side of the set of wheels? I'm interested because I'm thinking of building my own mechanical one arm bandit. Thanks in advance.

The reels get spun from the kicker which locates in the discs on the right of the reels (looking front on). The wheels (reels) are not spring loaded they free spin on a centre shaft. Look at the follow on video to see how the reels connect to appropriate pay disc. Good luck with the build.
