@@thereturn2361no there is no needing to constantly repent to stay saved. You do realize that is blaspheming what Jesus did for you? He died on the cross and His shed blood covers ALL sin for ETERNITY. The only caveat here is that you need to accept that gift and truly believe it in order to be saved. Repentance is important. Yes, you should confess your sins to God. But not doing that is not going to take away your salvation. There is perhaps loss of reward... It's in the Bible. I suggest to do a little more deep reading for yourself :)

Repentance it's the fruit of Faith. In other words if you have Faith in means you will turn away from sins. Always remember that faith without action is dead. Even Jesus preach that we must repent of our sins and also John the baptist said that we must bear fruit of repentance. It's True that repentance is not will save us, only faith in Jesus. But true faith in Jesus will produce repentance because sinners must turn away from sins and turn to Jesus for Jesus said he is the way and if you want to follow him you must forsake your sins turn away and turn to him. True Christians who have faith in Christ will not continue in sins because they are not living in sins anymore they living for Christ who loves them and gave himself for them. Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21‭-‬23 NKJV

Romans 6, 1 through 7 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[d] that we should no longer be slaves to sin- 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

@@easttexan2933 so here is the next question then, is repentance a work somehow or a product of true salvation? The more I become christlike aren't I suppose to hate my sin and who it's against? If so then why is repentance or your vid a false religion? As time goes on in my daily walk with my Lord and Savior when I stumble or sin isn't repentance a heart felt sorrow against my God, yes I'm aware it's turning from but at the same time if I'm not saying father my sin is against you and you alone cleanse my feet of this filth with a heart in remorse because of what the cross has done for me especially the gift of salvation...? Why wouldn't I cry out like David did, you think after psalm 51 and many more were written David never sinned again?! Or was the psalm a model for the believer in their walk with God until glorification?! Everyone gets the premise on repentance or it's foundation, but if I lie to someone do I just turn from it hoping I never lie again or is there deep remorse against God with a heart that says my flesh is wicked but my inner man loves you father and my sin is ever before me, isn't the conflict real...turning from isn't perfection by grace it's direction of self denial and daily conduct that glorifies God in word and deed....why wouldn't psalm 51 be your anthem for true repentance that isn't a 1 time deal but a lifelong lifestyle....it's my soul acknowledging what God already knows I'm a wretched sinner dependent upon Him for everything...

@JM117FOM

Well, no. That's exactly what Jesus Christ did. He lived and died to show us how we should be. . . You can't say by "Faith alone, " which means to trust, and then not trust in the things that Jesus Christ commanded. Like turning from sin, etc. . . If you do not obey Christ Jesus, then you are not living by faith, and if you are not living by faith, then what salvation do you have, if salvation is by faith? . . You're saying "No, I don't have enough faith in you to obey you." . . Faith does not mean to simply believe that something is true. . . ***James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble! . . . satan believes there is a God. Do you suppose that satan has salvation? . . . ***Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. . . . Who has grace? . . Those that have faith. . . And who has faith? . . Those that obey. . . So grace is given to those who obey Christ Jesus. . . And grace is not given to those who disobey Christ Jesus. . . Which means that you as Jesus says, must turn from sin, but that you don't need to be perfect. . Because after all it is already too late for you to be perfect. . . . "But we're not under the law." . . If you're not under the law does that mean it's okay if you sin? . . No. . The law says that you die if you sin at all. Even one sin you are dead. . . The law of grace says that if admit you are a sinner and turn from sin then you can be forgiven of your sin. . . . ***Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” . . . ***2 Corinthians 7:9-10 9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. . . . If a sinner is not to repent of sin, then what is a sinner to repent of? . . Why even mention sinner? . . Why not just say everyone repent? . . But no, we can't do that, because the Bible says - . . ***Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” . . So those without sin don't need to repent. . . Only those with sin. . . Why? . Because those without sin are already doing the right thing. . Those who are sinning are not. . . You should never be sorrowful for doing the right thing, but you should most certainly be sorrowful for doing the wrong thing.

You are saved by grace, but your spiritual LIFE is dead without works. Going to heaven after death isn't the only thing the bible teaches. It's also about how to live... DOING THE WORKS OF THE SPIRIT MAKES YOU PRODUCE SPIRITUAL FRUIT WHILe YOU ArE ALIVE, Otherwise YOU ARE FLESHLY AND therefore SPIRITUALLY DEAD. Being saved is easy. But walking with god takes obedience to the spirit. .

Exactly why Jesus commands that we must take up our cross daily and follow Him. We're not fully surrendering to Christ if we don't take up our cross daily. We are saved by grace through faith alone, and because we're saved, we live to produce good fruits of the Holy Spirit so that God is the one who is glorified.

Best comment on this comment section. Half gospel is no gospel at all. It's the power of God for salvation and that word includes present sanctification which is synergistic (Phil 2:12-13) We are saved by grace through faith not works lest any man should boast, but also faith without works is dead. We can say we believe all we want but true saving faith will manifest itself with works. Like the reformers say, we are saved by grace and by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone 😊

Don't be so quick to judge. Remember that without your faith in Christ even the smallest of sins aren't forgiven. God doesn't measure sin like man does. Either you're a sinner or you're good. If you love him you will naturally want to follow his ways. But as for these people calling old people Boomer. I can tell them this that they weren't there at the times of those days. Where love reigned supreme. And tough times were soldered on through. There surely was issues then. But people didn't complain. They instead went to their churches and loved each other. You can take great a great many pages of wisdom from these so called boomers. They have seen this world fall quickly because of the lack of love for Christ. Christ is this world's greatest enemy. For he offers a way out of this damnation. It's to be taken with the utmost care and seriousness. Sin is not something to treat lightly. If you happen to continue sinning after you claim to follow Christ. Remember, to immediately repent sincerely to him. Otherwise he could not have known you. Believe strongly in Christ. Don't treat him lightly. He is the main character, the true centre of this universe. Hd is literally God. And he accepted the penalty of sin for us. A grevious punishment that he took that wasn't his sin. So remember, be careful how you judge others. Stay focused on the path of Christ.

@@JesusLightsYourPath If you think that you can achieve "sinless perfection" in your flesh by thinking that you can actually turn from all sin to be justified. You are in error. Born-again Christians will continue to sin in their flesh until they die. It's our spirit that is sinless and is born again, not our flesh. The flesh profits nothing. There is not one verse that says that we are Justified by turning from sin. Should we depart from sin AFTER we are saved, i.e. Justified?... Yes!, but we will never become sinless in this body. Don't mix Justification with Sanctification. Salvation with decipleship; the two are two different topics.

@@thereturn2361 I just saw your response to my original comment. SMH!...No, I don't "almost have it right", as you said. You don't get it, you're in error. Repentance in order to be saved is error! You have believed in a Lordship salvation false gospel, by a couple of things that you said. Justification IS a ONE TIME event for salvation...Period! There's no such thing as continual ongoing Justification. To be Justified by God for eternal salvation is to believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone! through his blood atonement alone! for salvation. The moment a individual trust in Jesus Christ alone through his blood atonement alone for salvation THEY ARE ETERNALLY SAVED! Jesus PAID for ALL sin once and for all! We add NOTHING to His FINISHED work on Calvary's cross. He alone PAID the debt of sin through His blood atonement alone for whosoever believeth on him alone! That is by grace alone through faith alone in trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation! You are believing in a "works-righteousness obedience works for PROOF of salvation," so-called. To put it candidly...You're really trusting in what YOU are DOING through your so-called obedience works that really justifies you. This is called law abiding. You're trying to be justified by obeying the law; Even though you won't admit it, that's what you are really trusting in. Justification CANNOT be mixed with Sanctification. This is when error abounds. Justification - God alone is the only One who can do this for a individual who trust solely on Jesus Christ alone as his redeemer. The moment you mix ANY self-righteous works-righteousness obedience for PROOF of salvation so-called into this, you AUTOMATICALLY annul Justification being applied to you, because you didn't receive it by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ ALONE! He was the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice, that she'd His blood, for the remission of sins! We simply trust in what He alone did...Not what we add to that. Salvation is a GIFT 🎁!!! It CANNOT be earned, otherwise it no longer becomes a gift, but a debt that is earned. Sanctification - Is AFTER a individual has already been saved! Not mixed with salvation or included for salvation! Salvation is NOT decipleship, and decipleship is NOT any part of salvation. The two are separate regarding salvation and service. I can't explain it anymore more easier than this. You have believed in a Lordship salvation false gospel of works-righteousness obedience works for proof of salvation so-called. That says a individual must turn from your sins in order to be saved and continue to do so as a ongoing process for proof of one's salvation, so-called. That's works! Don't believe what I have said?... Take a KJB not a watered-down translation, and Read... Romans 3:19-28. read it carefully and slowly. Read it a couple of times. How is a individual Justified!???...by faith alone in the propitiation (atoning sacrifice) through faith alone in Jesus' blood atonement. That's It!!! Romans ch.4 (the whole chapter, but look at verses1-5 especially. Romans 11:6. Grace CANNOT be mixed with works...Period! Justification Sanctification and Glorification; are three distinct parts of salvation as a whole eternally, but has to be rightly divided separately and never garbled together. Please read the scriptures that I listed. Or... don't, and continue to go on believing in a Lordship salvation false gospel of works-righteousness obedience works for proof of salvation so-called, that requires that you must continue to show your works for proof of salvation, so-called. Grace really means UNMERITED FAVOR! We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ Jesus alone. If I don't do a single thing in discipleship AFTER I have received the true gospel, I'm still saved; because it's by grace alone, and not of ANYTHING that I do. Now, I may not receive any rewards in heaven, but regarding my salvation, I'm securely saved. Why?... because I have trusted in what Jesus did, not in what I have done or try to continue to do. You either get this or not.

Well not quite. . It is a change of mind. . So it doesn't mean to turn from sin as in you stop sinning, but to turn from sin in that you realize that you admit that you are a sinner, and that you were wrong. . That's what repent of sin means. . . After you have put your trust in Christ (believe in aka have trust in Christ) then He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit, which then will help you to remove yourself from sin. Not that you will be perfectly sinless, but that you will no longer give into sin, but that you will have the desire to abstain from it. . . . Jesus Christ saves from sin, not so that people can fall back into sinning.

@KJVisOutdated-ek9cw
@KJVisOutdated-ek9cw 4 ай бұрын
@@kraftyval2162 Let me answer your 2nd question first. Calvinism is not a denomination. It is a belief system created by John Calvin who was one of the reformers back in the time of Martin Luther. Calvin is famous for his TULIP acronym. Under his belief system, not only do you not need works to be saved, you do not even need faith to be saved. Calvin taught that God alone is the only one who determines who he will save and who he won't. Their is absolutely nothing we can do about it. And supposedly, God made those decisions before the "foundation of the world." So your (our) fates were determined a long time ago and if God did not choose you to have eternal life, then you are doomed to hell with no recourse. THAT is a wicked unscriptural perversion of the truth. To answer your first question, it states in James 2:24 that we are justified by works and not by FAITH ALONE. Justification is the first initial step of salvation. Then comes sanctification and glorification. It is a seriously deluded idea that you can stop at justification and end the race before you reach glorification. We must finish the race. Heb 12:1 says, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." In 2 Tim 4:7, Paul says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Those who fall away do not keep the faith. They do not finish the race. They do not attain to eternal life. BTW - if you are confused by Paul saying in Rom 4 that we are not justified by works and why James says we are, let me know. I will be glad to explain it to you. It is a paradox but not a contradiction.

The question of grace and continuing in sin is an important theological issue that Paul addresses in his letters. He explains that, although we are saved by God's grace, this does not mean we should continue to sin. Here are some of Paul's explanations: Romans 6:1-2 "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" Paul clearly states here that we should not continue to live in sin because, through Christ, we have died to sin. Romans 6:15-18 "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey-whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness." Here, Paul emphasizes that grace does not give us permission to sin. On the contrary, grace frees us from sin and enables us to be slaves to righteousness. Galatians 5:13-14 "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Paul stresses that the freedom given by grace should not be used as an excuse for fleshly desires, but as an opportunity to serve others in love. Titus 2:11-12 "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age." This verse shows that God's grace not only saves us but also teaches us to live godly lives, rejecting ungodliness and worldly desires. Therefore, although we are saved by God's grace, Paul clearly teaches that this grace requires a change in our lives. We should strive for righteousness and live according to Christ's teachings, which includes rejecting sin and fleshly vices, such as smoking or any other sin that enslaves us. Grace does not free us from the responsibility to live a holy life; instead, it empowers us to achieve it.

You may want to read the whole verse. It says that God did not choose to destroy them until He saw their repentance. They believed God in verse 5, but that alone didn’t change God’s mind. God repented of His wrath when they repented of their sins. The people of Nineveh believed AND repented and were saved. Just as Jesus instructed in Mark 1:15 - “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT YE, AND BELIEVE the gospel.” They were still heading for destruction though they had believed (v. 3:5). Turning from sin for a lost person and their way would thinking to find Christ is a step of faith, the next part of that faith is to ask Christ to save you from sin.

The people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, put on sackcloth, cried mightily to God, turned from their evil way. By doing these things they pleased God. He has told us to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, turn from our wicked ways (II Chronicles 7:12), come to Him (Matthew 11:28) call on His Name (Joel 2:32) confess that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 4:15) These acts of faith are responses to the Holy Spirit's call to believe God - not "works" that God rejects.

I believe your title is potentially harmful. We all need to repent from our sins. I understand where you're coming from but forgiveness , although a grace, is not at home where rebellion thrives. One must repent in order to be the Light of Salvation in the world. "I will give back all that I have unjustly taken from others and I will give what I have to the poor! Amen, truly I say salvation has come to this house today." Now that is the Word of the Lord. We don't preach the "By the skin of your teeth gospel" but we preach "and life more abundant" so "can two walk together unless they are in agreement"? No, neither can a man belong to the Body if He rejects the head. "Many will come saying Lord Lord... so if a man repents in his heart and struggles with overcoming, "a righteous man may fall 7 times but will get back up every time " but a man who claims to follow the Lord and loves living as the prince of this world would have him to live, that person is a false witness "why do you say to me Lord Lord but do not do the things that I have commanded?" I will show you what a man is like who not only hears my Word but hears my Word and acts upon it" so Yeshua has already judged HIS own House. We walk in the fear of the Lord until Love is made perfect through holy humility in Christ. There is no fear, no condemnation, no apprehension of hearing the Lord's commands or doing HIS Will. Here is perfect submission to God in Christ and here is not the place for willful rebellion. We all have work to do but don't dismiss the work and then complain of how the world is so bad.

I am so glad I came across this message concerning repentance which I used to previously understand that it means a turning away from sin, but I now understand more accurately that the definition of repentance is agreeing with God that our sins are grievous, however I know our works do not save us and only by faith in Jesus Christ are we saved. Would you agree that when we become saved we will gravitate towards producing good works and fruit, but that obviously does not seal our salvation? Some context: I came to Christ four years ago and prior to that I had been baptized and falsely lead to believe that ensured my salvation. I have recommitted my life to Christ and believe in Him alone as my Lord and Savior.

Simon the sorcerer said he believed. Said he had faith. Got baptized. But his heart was evil and he had not turned from sin (which begins in the heart), repenting of evil, SIN. The jailer who came to faith after Paul and Silas prayed may not explicitly be said to have repented, but his actions show he had deep godly fear and repentance for his wicked ways. This is after the Holy Spirit was given so “repent” isn’t something that only existed when John the Baptist said “bring forth fruit meet for repentance“ - true regeneration, being born again, INCLUDES Godly sorrow. “For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10, ESV)

Turning from sin, or repentance, is not a "work" that must be performed to earn salvation. Instead, repentance is a gift from God that is led by God, not something that is done by humans. Repentance is described as a change of mind about sin and Jesus Christ, and a surrender of one's will to God. It is also seen as a package deal with faith, which is turning to, trusting in, and relying on Christ.

In my understanding it's not the change in behavior that brings us salvation but its salvation that rings the change in behavior. It doesn't happen instantly but if you are truly living in the salvation of Christ it means God's spirit in you will change you from within. Repentance is a resolve, a firm decision to follow Jesus. A resolve to do Gods will in all things. John 5:30, 8:29. Repentance is a matter of the heart and will, it is not a work. It is the heart and will that turn. Turning from sin is a fruit of repentance. You do not grow in repentance, either you’re repentant or you are not. Either you’re following Jesus or you’re not. We will stumble, we all stumble. But we confess our sins and he is faithful to forgive. Those who do not repent will perish in their sins (Luke 13:5).

That may not have been the best verse but I agree with him. We have to realize that the times of Jonah was the Old Testament. Christ was not revealed yet so people had to do works and have faith. After the cross it is by faith. That is one reason why the temple sacrifices are no longer necessary. Works are sanctification, faith in Christ is the justification. Justification is once, while afterwards comes sanctification which is a process as long as you are on the earth.

The fact that in the Bible, Christians are referred to as believers, and the unsaved are referred to as unbelievers is because it denotes how we are saved…by believing the Gospel, or why people are lost… They don’t believe the Gospel. Notice that we are not referred to in the Bible as “the baptized,“ nor as “the 10 commandment keepers,“ nor “the holy living people,” nor as “those who have turned from all their sins.“

In scripture, it’s made clear that obedience is synonymous with faith… You can observe that in old and New Testament where obedience is counted as faithfulness. And we know that faith is counted as righteousness… That’s why 1 John 3:7 says the person who does righteousness is righteous. Not the person who does sin. Also revelation doesn’t say we will be judged by faith… but by our works. James said our faith without works is what? dead. Not faith at all.

Acts 2v38 says: Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Your reading into it too much and misunderstanding the concept brother.

The repent from your sin gospel shifts. The focus off of Jesus on to yourself. The man's telling the truth. you better believe it, and read into it as much as you can and get it in your head. That Jesus is the savior, not nothing we do. Here's an illustration.I was 10 years old.Do you think God asked me now,Richard, have you repented from all your sins? That Is absolutely ridiculous. It's the same thing that happened in the Garden, and it's happening again. Adding to the word. Anything thing to shift your focus off of God unto yourself? Then a person just gets really Arrogant and boastful and everything else pointing the finger at everybody.I've seen it with my own eyes, and I've been there. I believe Jesus referred to them as hypocrites. And we know what scripture says about that

Saved by faith through grace alone . Your works are like dirty rags to God ... When you truly accept Christ and receive the holy Spirit then then Lord and Spirit are working through you and they are the Lord's works as with our the Lord nothing you achieve is possible.

The only way to understand the Word of God, is by knowing that there are Kingdoms, not one Kingdom. The Kingdom of Heaven is not the same as the Kingdom of God, or the other 6. But those 2 hold answers. Also understanding dispensations, helps make sense of the mystery in the Word. If you don’t understand these things, don’t ask anyone til you ask God to please reveal it to you… then, ask someone who does and can show you in scripture the differences. God bless those who love the truth…and help us to share it with everyone. ❤️🌹🙏🏼

Well, that is what I always believed until I found out different. They can’t both be the same, or this verse would mean the violent could take it by force. Kingdom of heaven is earth, terra firma, as the earth sits in the heaven. If you give this some serious studying, the King James Bible is clear on this. I appreciate your insights.

Can you do some videos explaining why you only need to believe once to get salvation, instead of continuously believing? I do believe in eternal security and faith alone, but for a long time still thought you needed to continuously believe. I've seen some videos from others explaining it, but I would also like to hear your take.

@@OnoDiamante Grace is offered as a gift because our righteousness is but of filthy rags yes true, but faith without works is dead. God is giving us salvation as a gift because we cannot earn it, so God offers it to us but our works would and should show our faith. As a suggestion to all preachers pushing this point it helps to clarify that we are still not to sin, I've seen viewers from other channels speaking of this get the wrong message assuming we can live a sinful live and still inherit the kingdom of God. If we love God we'll keep his commandments. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

@@AsterLB You do realize James is talking to already saved believers correct? Which is why he later brings up Rahab, who was saved, alive when she hid the spies. Abraham according to James was saved from Hell when he was Justified by faith, He was later called the Friend of God when he offered up Isaac decades after being saved by Hell. He was called a Friend of God by people, Abraham was Not justified by God by his works, Romans 4 before God but by faith alone. May need to slow down and read very carefully the text. Jesus shares Salvation with no one, ever. He alone is Saviour. Thats the difference between Heaven and Hell, those who trust Him alone and those who think their works are as good as His. I would really think on that..
@AsterLB
@AsterLB 2 жыл бұрын
@@Livingingrace of course you must have faith and faith alone will save you but good works is the proof of a changed spirit or the Holy Spirit. Someone who claims to believe in Jesus but remains in their sins is running the risk of hearing "depart from me you WORKER OF INIQUITIES, I never knew you". not you of little faith, but workers of iniquities/ bad fruit/ opposite of good fruit or good works. Sin separates us from God. We must change our lives and honor God with our hearts, actions, lives and not just our words. I think some just want an excuse to sin comfortably, but no where in the Bible does God tell us it's okay to continue sinning, for if we continue to send there remains no more sacrifice for our sins

"repent of all sin" is a non-sense phrase! Repent means to change your mind. You change your mind when you believe the gospel. And that's it! You have repented, you only do it once! "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which *need no repentance* ." (Luke 15:7 KJV) Saved, justified people are *not* in need of repentance! We will naturally over time be freed from sin through the working of the Holy Spirit in us, it's not what we do! We can't do anything, only Christ in us can!

So in other words, the only repentance required is that which is stated in Mark 1:15 which is to abandon unbelief and acknowledge God and the means of salvation he has provided. Beyond this, what we regard as good deeds/works or sin will result in rewards or loss at the judgment seat of Christ. Is this correct?
@EaglesNest1986

No, repentance is turning from sin to God. Repentance is clearly defined in Revelation 9:21 “neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
