The replacement for the Hellcat-powered Ram TRX. The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO. Is this even close?

2024 is the last year for the iconic Ram 1500 TRX, powered by the Supercharged 6.2L V-8 Hellcat motor. 2024 is also the last year that any Ram Truck will be available with a V-8. Is the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO an adequate replacement for the TRX? It will be powered by the twin turbo in-line six, Hurricane engine. Power is projected to be 540 HP, much less than the over 700HP of the TRX. We'll discuss all this in today's video.

I just drove a TRX Final Edition. I left a deposit. I have a wife going through chemo and it has effected her hearing. I'm not sure she could handle the TRX. You bring up valid points. I'm seriously considering it any way. As a car guy - I consider it an investment. I have to admit, the sound is amazing but even not "getting on it" produced a sound which I think would bother her (but it brought a smile to this car guy's face!)

I have a 22 TRX that I paid MSRP for ar 95k. Crazy to see MSRP for the final edition at 125k for basically the same truck. Aside from a digital guage cluster.

This reminds me of the SRT-10 from a few years ago. Tempting as it was, needed a vehicle that was more pickup than sports car. So I bought the Ram 2500. These new ones are really cool though!

I'm a Boomer car guy. I have a Ram hemi and love it. What would make me trade in? Show me a down sized truck, styled something like a 1940's 1/2 ton. Regular cab, short box, but with a small fuel injected v8/auto trans. Offer 2x4 and 4x4 but keep all the HIGH TECH B.S. out of it. Keep the price down, keep it simple, and let trucks be trucks once again.

Yes, it's the last year it will be available. It's quite the hot-rod. It even has a type of exhaust cut-out switch. They sound great!

What?? Its literally a TRX minus the hellcat due to the epa restrictions.... that IS Literally the only difference and you gain some more over the 24 Trx, like technologyfeatures, safety features and interior wise. As far as price, you can easily option one to less than $75k (trx level 1 equivalent) and have no vehicle that can touch you offroad besides a TRX and some would argue this will offroad better than trx due to being lighter and more manageable power for more technical 4x4... yes i love trx and hellcats but to say this is far different truck is a massive stretch. RHO has a POINT 1 second difference in 0-60 to the TRX with double the MPG. seems like a great replacement.

Hard to believe Ram is losing touch with the U.S. Trucker buyer. I'm a truck owner, I've had several in the past, I know many people who buy trucks and we all basically want the same thing, a V8 or diesel under the hood. Some people (Americans) love the way the diesel sounds, others the way a big V8 roars - believe it or not, that's a BIG part of what people love about owning trucks.

HARD PASS. I'm not spending that much for a V6. I own a 2020 Ram 1500 Hemi V8. Im open to better gas mileage with a V6. But, if im going for power, and a $90,000 truck, then i want a powerful V8. If not, then I'll spend way less and go for good gas mileage.

Yes. Only for 2024. That motor is being yanked from EVERY platform. A family friend has worked Dodge assembly for the last 31 years. Ask me how i know.

@@youtubecarspottersguide1 At first it was a 3 way tie with Frosbite,Black and Vapour Grey (the darkest of the 3 greys) I went with the Grey and will be getting flat black carbon fibre stripes (same as the stock ones on the Challenger Demon) Then tint windows and taillight strip....then ceramic coating.

I think Dodge needs a "lesser" model Raptor competitor. Raptor isnt just the Raptor R, but it also has the v6 which is more "affordable" then the R model, but still very capable truck. The TRX is the only way into the Raptor competitor genre. The v6 Raptor is still extremely popular. i see them every where. So i think Dodge is trying to match that market.
