The funny thing is , in all that footage of poor people, there weren't actually any poor people to be seen
@Sedgie-Tube2 жыл бұрын
They look like they’re actually doing productive work, despite being poor (nobody was on the street begging etc) - I went to China back in 2009 and this was one of the stops we made and it looked like one of those industrial towns with a lot of construction work going on etc. It looked like a strange town, not particularly beautiful but it could have potential. This was en route to Chendgdu.

yeah sure the prostitutes living in a run down brick house and waiting for clients on the street are totally "productive" and not poor...

The poorest place has lot of air conditioners. Chinese urban villages are better than other places on earth.

Tempat ni lebih mulia dari tempat miskin di lain negeri. Tak ada sampah sarap, tak ada penagih dadah, tak ada samseng. Tak ada orang tidur di tepi jalan, pada saya lebih mulia dari rumah miskin di HK.

It is poor area. However, it is evident that this place actually is quite developed: it has access to city metro subway system, there are internet communication utilities, air conditioning units ... true slums would have no clean water access, sewage water muddied the pathways, illegal businesses ...

Not a slum area, its clean no garbage around, no dogs walking and no people sitting outside their houses.Way way better if you compare this to slums in Manila Philippines.

I would also love to know where some of these areas are, but they are not slums, just older, very rundown places in and around the city which are slowly being swallowed up in the redevelopment. Looks like a railway museum but not near Caiyuanba. Could it be on out skirts of Shapingba district? I wonder.

It just looks a little run-down to me but it doesn't look like it's unsafe.
having lived in fuzhou for an extended period of time i came across many of these communities,,, at first i thought of them as slums however after many visits to them i began to see them differently,,, i may be wrong but i saw them as places with a sense of community amongst the residents, more affordable place to live, convienient to all amenities that families need, and reasonably clean, many in china make so many sacrifices by going without for the betterment of the families future, sure many cant afford better housing but these areas can also be a stepping stone toward a more prosperous future also ,,, always enjoyed walking through these very interesting neighbourhoods,,,,, happy and joyful children out with grandparents was always uplifting😊 ( i havnt been to rural villages in china where i believe the poverty is the worst ,,, but big cities being quickly developed with new appartments and waiting times and higher rent charges are also a reason for people living in the older less glamorous types of housing untill they can afford something better if thats their aim)

是的,城市再穷也穷不过农村。在中国我们不把这些地方称为“贫民窟”,我们叫它“城中村”-villages in Cities/urban villages,他确实是贫穷的,但绝对不是完全负面的

This old area just needs some tender love and care from the people who live there . The old city has comforted them all these years from all the weather and given a resting place to those who sleep . The people here love the city no doubt , but more could be done by just the average person to improve the city and make it a wonderful place to live .

I don't really know what this channel's purpose is, there are quite a few channels in USA showing devastated communities and abandon cities and towns nowadays, sort of like capitalizing on other peoples misery! Just the fact, there's no interactions and stories seem weird! If the person think this is poverty, he hasn't live life! Because I had live in true slumps in Hong Kong many decades ago, have he ever heard of coffin home exit in Hong Kong, a highly glorify rich city! Many slumps still exist in many underdeveloped countries way worst than this!

The CCP just banned the new Chinese movie "Return to Dust" because it was about poor people in China and Xi Jinping has already said that he has eliminated poverty in China. So I don't think the CCP would be very happy with your "ChinaStreet" KZbin channel. Especially when you talk about the poor people and slums in China. I'm a little worried you might disappear one day when the CCP find you. Thank you for the videos. I would love to visit Chongqing, because your videos have shown me an interesting city.
@davidchou1675 Жыл бұрын
No, they've eliminated what's called "extreme poverty" by U.N. standards but as a still developing country (agai, by U.N. standards [with which most economists agree]), there are certainly still many millions of poor people in China today. Stop your Westoid China-Hate.
@wyz981511 ай бұрын
The movie is not well received by Chinese people, especially young people, for that is China before Not China they familar now. Why are you so eager to see poverty in China? Xi wants people to look forward into future and he devoted to eliminate poverty and has done am great job, these poor areas are being replaced by advanced and clean new communities, and haters hate to see that. I understand why you love vloges showing the poort area in China, because they will make you feel better, and make youe fragile ego intact. Sorry that you are too weak to face the development and progress of China, stay in the darkness!
