Oh my god. This, right here, is one of the best Resignation takes so far! Probably the best in my opinion! I mean just, EVERYTHING about this is peak. TL;DR ahh SpongeBob spooky Hoo boy time to dive into this one, live reactions incoming in this comment... - 0:00 - The backstory is really solid here, simpler than Rodrigo's though which makes me curious about what's in store here. - 1:04 - Help Wanted - So the typical hijack here is that there's a cut about a minute into the episode to the scene where SpongeBob gets over his self-doubt and heads on over to the Krusty Krab but this doesn't seem to be included here. Instead we go to the scene where he's being tasked with the impossible by Krabs... only for it to become heavily corrupted and very quickly interrupted by a text screen with information regarding the hijack as the episode audio plays like normal. Simple but very effective and strikes me as something I could see happening in an actual hijack. Squidward's "terrible" though, hm. And then the episode tries its damn best to start up again and just can't do it because of the hijacking? Thankfully the anchovies are here to fix things up, I never thought I'd be rooting for them. - 2:32 - Hall Monitor / Jellyfish Jam - This one isn't usually used in the hijacks but being a 3:30 am airing it makes sense. I see the screenbug disappears, there's some heinously glitchy audio and visuals like there was earlier during Help Wanted, and... oh no what is that SpongeBob face?! This is a great revision of the "still image" idea that Rodrigo popularized in his video and I like that instead of interrupting the split screen credits it interrupts the episode. It quickly becomes distorted as Nick seems to get a hold on the scheduling again and air Jellyfish Jam ahead of its slot, albeit once again in a horribly glitchy state. Wait a minute... that's an edited frame of him as the rock from the episode... oh god that was actually really creepy and the audio doesn't help whatsoever. And then back to Hall Monitor like nothing happened. Huh. - 5:33 - Your Shoe's Untied - Oh boy the infamous 7/25/2005 episode but this time repurposed into the resignation story. We skip past the glitchy skipping to the Krusty Krab stuff right to SpongeBob's guilt over not being able to tie his shoes and hiding them in the floor. The audio becomes simply M&E for a bit, until an unusual tone starts playing and SpongeBob seems to be nearly suffocating on the floor. And what the hell is that face he has? I'm pretty sure that wasn't in the original episode and the music is just terrifying, why does it shift in pitch like that at the end?! And to add insult to injury we cut to SpongeBob seemingly dead on the floor to the strains of the most notorious 'sad' SpongeBob track, Pua Paoakalani B... wait why is he staring at us like that? Is shit about to go down? No what are those eyes? And before we know what the hell went down we get another screen confirming the hijackers' goal of wanting more creative freedom for the Nick crew. My god I wasn't expecting a retake on the 7/25/2005 story within this videopasta but this might be my favorite one yet! Will probably discuss the genius of this edit in a later comment but just know for now that I love it. No SpongeBob, it wasn't your fault, it was the hijackers'... - 8:43 - Seeing online comments about what went down is always nice and I like that this was done on a website, though I'm unfamiliar with what site it is (SpongeBuddy Mania?) Interestingly no comments about the Your Shoe's Untied edit. - 9:02 - Pineapple Fever & commercials - Rodrigo used this episode earlier in his take where it was affected by mostly some audio / visual glitches albeit with one very odd still frame of Squidward mixed in. We start from the boundaries part here, everything seems normal, but suddenly... Gary managed to feed Squidward such awful snail food that the episode got corrupted once more, ooh so scary - NO GARY WHAT HAPPENED?! WHO DID THIS TO YOU?! Quick to get to the point, I liked the change from the older versions of the story where we see the dead Gary during Shell Shocked and it feels even more unexpected here. We also get some commercials for a bit (albeit not including Flint Lockwood? 0/10) only for things to go awry after the MySims racing ad... god damn it SpongeBob, Nick is going to put a stop to the hijackers and we all know it, stop trying to scare us. I wonder why that screen is purple, seems like an odd color to choose. Great edits and I'm continuing to feel more and more unnerved. - 12:18 - F.U.N. - So it looks like this is where the edited version of the intro went and this one deeply hurt to watch. Like in the other videos we've seen it cuts to the M&E mix, but when SpongeBob pops up at the end... yeah he's not looking too happy with us. The audio once again really unsettles me, and where did that weird frame of SpongeBob come from? And of *course* the episode is renamed "A.R.R.", just to make things even worse. It looks like we cut from the opening to about partway through the episode where SpongeBob is teaching Plankton about jellyfishing, Plankton wants to use their stingers for world domination purposes but it turns out it's actually about fun. Only for SpongeBob to glitch up when he's thinking about what fun is... of course, deep groaning, that's what it is! I agree Plankton, that's pretty idiotic WAIT HE MURDERED HIM CRAP. SpongeBob what's gotten into you? And no way is it over... - 16:39 - Wait a minute this was connected to the TeleBlue cases? Wait, no, it's a bunch of calls relating to the hijacks, interesting. Oh shoot they're planning this out ahead of time and talking about what episodes to hijack and when?! I'm glad Armond seems to be... okay, not completely insane, like he talks like a normal person would. - 19:10 - Squidtastic Voyage - This episode I haven't seen used in previous hijacks either, one of my favorite season 4 episodes btw. Squidward breaking my speakers with his screaming is completely justified knowing the monster that lives inside of him, and unfortunately so is Patrick stabbing SpongeBob with that axe. And then we get treated to the best (?) Nick extra ever, what is this indeed? I totally understand why Armond was saying that this hijack would be the sickest one yet earlier. But ashamed of what? I assume ashamed of Nick? I don't know what's happening either Squidward, your guess is as good as mine. - 22:08 - SpongeBob Movie - One of the lesser known scenes in the movie up until the reformatting of Bikini Bottom using the mind-controlling Chum Bucket hats begins. Judging by the previous hijacking it seems that Squidward is the hero of this little narrative. I assume the movie was used because Armond wanted to enforce the theme of Nickelodeon "forcing" people to watch SB when he feels that the show has taken over their other priorities. I really like the uses of music here including the reversed music from Pickles when SpongeBob is living life the wrong way. But probably the worst part is that completely garbled message from the hijacking followed by the announcement that Nickelodeon is suffering the worst technical difficulties they've ever had. Much later it winds up cutting back to the movie where SpongeBob is about to rock the world... in a way, he went on his own journey over this narrative but I wouldn't say it's quite as heroic as the movie made it seem/

25:15 - Procrastination - This episode I know has seen substantial use in resignation retakes thanks to the scene where SpongeBob is writing his letter. But this take might be the scariest yet, with the dark tone playing over SpongeBob's letter and then cutting to the credits much darker than usual with messages about how Nick has failed to take responsibility for their behavior. It seems that Nick caught wind and interrupted the message... or did they? The hijackers might have messed up the technical difficulty screen but at least they didn't mess up the rest of this weirdly ominous episode. 27:39 - Rock Bottom - Starting with Patrick's bathroom dilemma so a little earlier than usual, and he rightfully wants to go home, but... does he? It looks more like he's giving up on SpongeBob and leaving him to rot... yeah, with ideas like this, there's certainly no "vision" at all. Patrick might be dumb but he's not this awful. I'm honestly unsure if I prefer "creativity has run dry" over "there is no such thing as vision anymore", both mean the same thing roughly but I kinda prefer the former one. The heavily messed up picture of Nick studios gives this one points in its favor though. 29:53 - The Secret Box - Oh boy I've been in love with this specific hijacking for a while so I'm expecting some tragic shit to go down here. And yup, there's Kamakani B over beheaded Patrick, which falls apart as he somehow keeps talking and his eyes give way. And of course SpongeBob now has them. I wonder what "there is nothing left" is supposed to mean... SpongeBob still has his eyes, and Patrick still has his mouth, you'd think they'd be able to work together somehow... but according to that credits screen it's looking more like they've assimilated into one monster. You know what? I blame this all on those gummi acorns in the Popsicles, those have some kind of absurd power to them. I mean I might as well, nothing else is adding up so why start now?! Excellent take on the hijacking and great job making it fit into the story! 32:46 - Blackened Sponge - Man I really like this episode, why did this have to be dragged into the resignation mess? Looks like Armond is definitely projecting himself a little onto SpongeBob here, wanting to tell his story of how Nick treated him only to be constantly made fun of by everyone else. And... what follows is by far the most scared I've been watching this yet. Poor guy walks back home ashamed to live in the same world as people who mistreat him and... seems to murder himself? Or the viewer? Regardless it seems like Nick has more than worn out its welcome with Armond... damn it he fooled us again?! God this is making me feel paranoia just watching it... This scene was definitely the standout of the videopasta so far. 36:07 - To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants - Wrapping things up with the "classic" hijacking of this episode. So far I really like this, instead of any gore we get Armond communicating with the audience in simplistic text and the various musical stings. And now comes the message, the big part of the videopasta and the one that leaves us with the most to talk about. This is easily my favorite take on the message to date, I love the drab and dark visuals and somber music that accompanies them alongside brief flashes of every single intrusion we saw up to this point. Rather than reading as the depressed ramblings of a madman the message strikes me more here as that of someone who was mistreated and sincerely wants Nickelodeon standards to improve for their employees and I think that's an important part to making the story work. I was loving this videopasta before but this final part cemented it as my absolute favorite take on the resignation incident with Rodrigo's in a very close second. 39:07 - Born to Be Wild - Yeah SpongeBob (as Armond) deserved his just desserts, he really was wrong about going about this hijack the way he did. And thus Squidward rides off into the sunset with the Mild Ones in tow, and Nickelodeon provides the viewers with some assurance that incidents like this will never happen again. Nice of the channel to do and the fact that they explicitly mentioned trying to rebuild trust in particular says a lot about the effects of these hijacks.

So taking into account everything that happened in this hijacking, I really like that we start out with the "simple hijacks" that we saw in Help Wanted and Hall Monitor before the intrusions became more and more deranged. I feel something that this videopasta handles masterfully is the idea of gore and how to properly build up to it or discuss its aftermath. For instance in the F.U.N - I mean A.R.R. hijack, I admittedly laughed at SpongeBob stomping on Plankton before the shock started to come in and I realized exactly what had went down and what the intent of it was. I also loved the use of audio throughout this video, the twisted versions of traditionally cheerful SpongeBob tracks all adding to the unsettling ambiance and the occasional sad tracks hitting harder than they ever did in the series. My interpretation of the events that happened is that like in Rodrigo's video, SpongeBob is meant to represent Armond venting about the experiences he went through at Nick in different ways that aren't always obvious. In this video, however, Squidward seems to reflect Nickelodeon employees and their poor treatment of Armond; Plankton I'm admittedly unsure about, he could be a higher-up in the division that Armond was working at who he had similar problems with. And Patrick... Luke, I guess, knowing that he was one of Armond's friends? I need time to mull this over, I was left with so many questions after watching this. And as for my personal scariest moments: I loved the Your Shoe's Untied edit as I discussed above, but I also really liked the edits to The Secret Box and Blackened Sponge for how unapologetically creative they got with manipulating the original episodes. The F.U.N and Squidtastic Voyage intrusions were solid in a "classic creepypasta" sort of way fitting with how the intrusions were done during the day when they might have had a clearer idea of what they wanted to do with them rather than late at night lie some of the others. IMO, this is a masterpiece of a videopasta, and to date, it's the one I feel all subsequent ones should be judged by. Yours and Rodrigo's retakes on the resignation are both incredibly good in their own ways and while this one takes more creative liberties with Armond's story, and I really enjoyed the documentary style presentation of Rodrigo's, this one appeals to my personal tastes a bit more. Excellent work all around and it'll be very interesting to see if you top this one. And there goes an hour of my life talking about spooky SpongeBob, hooray.

This is the best videopasta I have seen on this website. Firstly, and most obviously, the visuals. These visuals in this project are so terrifyingly incredible - ex. 6:24, 11:41, 28:50, 31:58, and ESPECIALLY 34:09 (and also pretty much the entire video) - and always completely caught me off guard the whole video. What is think is better, though, is the sound design. You are extremely talented at creating empty and unnerving atmospheres by using only SpongeBob music, and this video especially proves that, especially at 6:24, 14:21, 30:44, 33:33, and the use of the sound clip at 36:27 just gave me such an intense feeling of something being off, and not many other videopastas do that. But what you also do WAY better is make very unsettling atmospheres without only using SpongeBob music. The moments 23:50, 24:15, 26:16 - 26:59, and the entirety of clip 6 were some of the most unnerving parts of the video to me simply because of how well the sound was done. And then, there’s the moment at 28:32. This is by far the best moment in the entire video. The visuals and sound design just create the most terrifying atmosphere of the video, especially the detail of Patrick’s pupils moving to stare directly at the viewer right before the screen glitches out, it’s just amazing. And finally, not to forget the smaller details that overall complete the video. The recording methods/quality of some clips being different and the screenshot of the online forum help to make the video feel more realistic, as well as the technical difficulties screen and the final message from Nick. The detail of a phone call from Armond to one of his team members who helped with the attack is also a very nice touch. Every video you have made is a masterpiece and I hope you never stop creating. P.S. 20:44 was hilarious to me for some reason. Probably because of the irony in the Nick bumper being used to transition to just *that*

One of the best Resignation retakes i have ever seen, but it cant beat Rodrigo's retake. The visuals, color combinations, the original scenes turning into twisted lies, the soundtrack choice, I absolutely love the aspect ratio in some clips. EVERYTHING is the best here. this thing shook me. It shook me to the core on how awesome it was. The fact it just gets you on every level and had some humorous edits (like Plankton getting absolutely CRUSHED) just blows my mind. That frame with the creepy SpongeBob and Patrick gave me Vietnam flashbacks to my own logo nightmares. It’s miles better than my own analog horror series. There’s always more to learn though! I can see my tiny influence, especially during the start of F.U.N, where the intro is instrumental, just like that Lion King Tape I uploaded. Only gripe is I would like the SpongeBob movie sequence to be longer and where Plankton wins. More graphic details ensure. This is a 99/10. You did so good.

I think this was the first kind of reimagining that actively had me shivering my timbers at. It's grounded in reality, unlike something like Lies or Red Mist, it's from the idea that the animators who worked on Spongebob, and probably for other Nick projects, that were fed up with Nick to the point they protested by hijacking Nick & getting their message out. this could've made me believe if "yea that could happen", knowing Nick... The imagery in here is honestly super unnerving, especially in little moments in the Procrastination part where Spongebob is holding the paper, that's so fire! I have no idea what the original version of this pasta was, but I absolutely like what was done here. Props to all the people involved here!

Personally, in terms of story, Rodrigo's retake beats this, but, in terms of the hijackings, this one beats Rodrigo's take. Both this & Rodrigo's take are my favorite versions of this story. I know Ighby is working on a retake of the story & I know that will be peak based off the teasers we got on their posts. Some of these retakes of the story inspire me to do my own take on Resignation Incident. Weegalternate, you & Rodrigo both crafted some amazing takes or in other words, you & Rodrigo cooked cuz both of your takes are officially peak. This is the best retake on the "Resignation" incident I've watched so far. The glitches, recordings and the messages overall are peak, especially the message of the hijackers at the end with the accompanied sad music that adds to the tone. Though I'd give credit to RodrigoJogos' retake, specifically the Procrastination scene, because it has some good sound design here that adds depth to the dark tone of the video.

Sorry I'm flooding this comments section and sorry for the nonsensical theory building, but wanted to posit a theory that the episodes that were chosen to be hijacked by Armond, Luke and his team were ones that reflected "low points" in Armond's career. SpongeBob represents Armond himself, Patrick represents one of his former friends, Squidward represents a Nickelodeon employee working with Armond but mistreating him unintentionally, and Plankton represents a Nickelodeon higher-up enforcing the behavior that Armond has to deal with. Krabs represents what Armond initially views Plankton as, a well-meaning boss but one who prioritizes his own needs. Armond helping with a production was considered to be "the worst possible outcome" and higher-ups prioritized other employees over him. - Your Shoe's Untied: One day at work, Armond's guilt over how he's been treated and his decision to remain silent about it to his friend causes him to suffer a panic attack and nearly considers putting an end to himself, but opts not to as he feels that the higher-ups causing their employees to behave this way deserve punishment. - Pineapple Fever: Attempting to befriend Armond, his fellow employee sleeps over at his house for the night, but learns that Armond has self-destructive tendencies that could endanger others if they aren't properly controlled. The employee vows to help Armond whenever possible but worries his instability might have started. - F.U.N: Armond fantasizes about finally punishing the Nickelodeon higher-up, who he views as a reprehensible human being. The episode is renamed to "A.R.R" to emphasize that he wants control over Nick, the same control that the higher-up had. After killing the higher-up, however, he worries about what it will mean for his public reputation. - Squidtastic Voyage: A third party reporter attempts to gain answers about the hijacking from Armond's employee, but to prevent them from knowing about it, Armond severely injures his friend while the reporter can't see them; thus concealing his identity even further. - SpongeBob Movie: Sometime after the above incidents, the employee attempted to stand up to the Nickelodeon higher-up in defense of his fellow worker, Armond. However, the higher-up disapproves of the employee's "free-thinking" ways and orders him to be violently executed while the other employees at the company remain under the higher-up's command. - Procrastination: Having heard about the employee's punishment, Armond declares that it's finally time to get serious and writes a resignation letter, threatening the end of Nickelodeon as a channel if they fail to acknowledge or reply to it. They fail to acknowledge it, Nickelodeon lives another day, but Armond isn't quite finished yet. - Rock Bottom: Armond's friend seems to be rehabilitated, but when Armond leaves, they learn the truth about what Armond was planning to do to Nickelodeon with his letter, and attempts to kill him before the letter can reach the air. He is unsuccessful. - The Secret Box: Armond is infuriated with what his friend tried to do, and attempts to search his house for his possible reasoning. Though he appears to be accepting of Armond's decision from the outside, it quickly becomes clear that he is upset with Armond, will never get over what he did to him, and opts to off himself before any more physical or emotional damage can be done by Armond to him. - Blackened Sponge: Armond continues to attend work as usual, now with a spiteful attitude towards his fellow employee, but upon being once again considered unimportant by the employee as the higher-ups had done many times before, Armond enters a spiraling depression and nearly puts an end to his life as revenge on those who treated him this way. - To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants: Present day - the time has finally come for Armond to present his resignation letter, to both the employee who he misjudged and everyone viewing the SpongeBash. Armond clearly isn't the same employee he was at the start of the narrative and demands justice for everyone who Nickelodeon higher-ups had treated poorly over the years before finally resigning from the company, leaving the Nickelodeon CA studio with property damage in his wake. - Born to Be Wild: Armond's former fellow employee talks to him about how maybe he went a little too far with his resignation, though his employee seems to have led a wild life of his own so who knows? TL;DR from start to end, Armond was treated poorly by Nickelodeon and all of his cries for help were ignored, either intentionally by the higher-ups or unintentionally by the employee and his former friend. It's tough to say whether or not Armond was in the right for what he did; wanting justice for everyone involved is a noble cause but the way he went about spreading the cause traumatized millions and went into personal information that wasn't appropriate for the audience watching the marathon or even those running the channel. Unfortunately, in a time before social media, this was one of the only ways for people to make information heard, so Armond had no other choice in a sense. Have a bowl, Mr. Squidward!

Realistically, this definitely would jeopardize Nickelodeon's popularity and possibly the show it aired as well, if someone understood what Armond was going on a tirade about, that person could spread the word and form protests by angry parents (this may or may not as realistic but imagine it). Imagine being a kid and see the messages of a livid employee, that would give you nightmares and night terrors because of the ludicrous horror what you just saw. This is also the longest re-iteration of the Resignation Incident and goddamn is it well-orchestrated as f*ck, the slasher smiles of SpongeBob, the distortion of the cheery music, the FBI's documentation of a phone call with two people who confirmed of three possible suspects (see 16:38), the rageful messages brought by Armond as he hijacks the broadcasts, and one of the best parts is Squidward being brutalized by Plankton (at 23:39). You know this creepypasta finna be some peak material when Rodrigo and DeniseKazooie, two awesome videopasta makers, comments on it. Some creepypastas you could remake can be 0004, Dead Bart, Happy Appy, or Red Mist, I know that's quite a list but if you can make something that was once creepy actual and pure nightmare fuel, hey, I can't blame you for when I get sleep-deprived from the horrors you show to us. 😎👍
