Key point of this whole video is "Ethics". We have people in office who do not have any societal ethics. Both sides are guilty. It is the "professional" politicians, and their big money donors who have wreaked havoc on the rest of us.

I think the best analogy for the checks and balances question is this: there are laws on the books for murder but an actual prosecutor has to charge you with the crime in order for you to be punished. It isn't an automatic thing. Same with the President and his cronies. There are checks and balances but you need an actual person there to charge them with a crime. It doesn't happen automatically. Which is the inherit problem here because he's surrounded by his own party and they take a huge hit if they charge him. There should be a completely neutral third party that aren't involved with politics who judge all matters and sets the machine in motion. DoJ and Muller is one thing though.

You had some great policy recommendations, but you didn't say enough about how to get them achieved, and the best way to do that is to form and build up local organizations, and run local candidates for office, all the way from city council and school board to Congress. People who try to push the viability of organic farming as a social issue irritate me. It's not going to happen. It's not viable on a scale necessary to feed everyone, organic farms use far more herb/pesticides, and take much more land to grow the same amount of food. Not to mention, conventional farming and gm crops produce healthier food that has been shown to have zero negative health. Grow your own food if you want organic produce, but don't be surprised when it doesn't keep up with demand.
