One of the reasons Iran has delayed is that it was Arba’een, a huge commemoration for the Shia. Meaning, there are close to 3 million Iranian pilgrims in Karbala, Iraq-most are on foot-and they have to get back before the operation can start, especially those who have flown over. Thank you Dimitri and Laith...your analysis is spot on....I agree that the US wants a wider war in the Middle East as does Israel because the majority of world opinion is now on the side of the Palestinians. Since the resistance broke the myth of invincibility built up around the Israeli military and the genocidal war began against the Palestinians the US/Israel are desperate to take the world's focus off the slaughter being carried out on a daily basis in Gaza... what better way to do that than to provoke a regional war. Also we sometimes forget that the US is in trillions of dollars of debt because they have been printing money since the 2008 financial crash... the political elites know US citizens will never willingly agree to pay the huge taxes needed to pay off that debt because it would take generations to do so. This is why the US is trying not just to provoke a war in the Middle East but a world war , hence the proxy war with Russia and the provocations against China .
