1 Corinthians 15:17 KJV And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Brother Dave I am not hear to argue but I caught the last half and you seemed real interested in the 7 books taken out of the Bible by Luther because he didn’t believe in Purgatory because in Luther’s words sin and sin big here is Luther 38 quotes not opinion pieces www.davidlgray.info/2013/09/11/500-years-of-protestantism-the-33-most-ridiculous-things-martin-luther-ever-wrote/. Before I just hammer Luther he was right on the there were corrupt Priests selling indulgences for money but the church started by Jesus has had some bad characters up until then . Clearly says the Jews were praying for the dead they would pray for 11 months for a soul if it was 1 year that soul was considered real bad I might have needed 2 years in my 20’s . The Bible where did the New Testament come from well you can research it the birth of the Bible was on August 28,397 AD after the Council of Carthage research this it started at the Council of Rome 382 AD, then to the Council of Hippo 393AD then to Carthage the church had over 300 books to choose from they settled on 27 and the 46 from the Old Testament that Jesus quotes from and a total of 73 . But anyway I have told Renee hundreds of times to read the Didache ( written by the Apostles) and the Early Church Fathers on everything you will find answers . Bishop Sheen said it best there are not 100 people that hate the Catholic Church but there are millions who hate the Catholic Church on what they perceive it to be . Just look on the Trinity when you were discussing it people saying well I don’t believe in the word Trinity because the Catholic Church does and finally brother look is so wrong when he says the Catholic Church believes in work salvation the Catholic Church stance on how one soul gets Eternal Life is 3 things Water Baptism, Repentance ( Reconciliation) , Faith in Jesus Christ.
