Funny enough, Fire is the most important aspect of the game, the actual god of the game, the megabird itself being made of fire. We, the descendants, are gifted the flame just like the prince was once before. All creatures in sky also have flames in them and the "diamond block" which is actually an artificial star, needs that flame too. The elders used darkstone to capture flames from creatures and make stars with them for technology. But the creatures didn't like being turned into tools and constantly killed, so two wars happened. (Part of backstory I think is fun to know)

I would love to point out that the Prophet of Fire in the season of Prophecy is legit more senile than the Vault elder. After he starts teaching his students, he reacts to something like a giant monster or whatever chasing them, and then proceeds to run while leaving the two students confused. Then he sits down at the fire like "phew that was close" and the students are like "what- just happened.."

"What does fire have to do with this game" we're moths. The credits even show that (spoiler, no joke) the entire game takes place in the flame of a candle, which makes me think that sky is where moths go when they get burned up by a flame. Which is really poetic, they get to fly and explore and chase all the flames they could ever want, but also really sad, because that would mean that they've all died irl before coming here😞

I mean from the lore i've seen sky was a world of light, then the king (that was made of light) arrived and there was some kind of industrial revolution with light and fire as a main source of light, then they started to use light too much, started caging light animals and taking their light making them corrupted (like crabs and krills) this events started a war between ppl who supported light and ppl who supported the king, meanwhile the king was keeping light in a crystal in his realm and slowly losing his mind, the elders supported the king but after war and recent events started they joined the light side their symbol was a sun and the king's symbol was a diamond(which you will see in most realms)after some war the crystal went out of control and elders had to go to eden to controll it but it exploded unaliving most creatures and thats why most ppl in sky are spirits. Now years after the war you come as a light child to a post apocalyptic world consumed by war with the mission of reviving the spirits and their memories and bring light back to a destroyed world, you have a little light dot on you chest, that is your candle and the fire a representation of the light you bring back to that world.
