THIS IS THE END OF A BAD PRUNING
I have long wanted to express my frustration over pruning that in the long run gives the tree a death sentence. This oak was over 100 years old and a bad pruning, probably less than 10 years ago, put an end to a tree that could easily have another 100 left.
Of course, the tree may also have been damaged in a storm and it has then been necessary to cut back large storm-damaged branches?

Jeg har længe ønsket at udtrykke min frustration over beskæring, der på lang sigt giver træet en dødsdom. Denne eg var over 100 år gammel og en dårlig beskæring, sandsynligvis for mindre end 10 år siden, satte en stopper for et træ, der let kunne have 100 tilbage.
Naturligvis kan træet også havde været beskadiget i storm og det så har været nødvendigt at skære store stormskadede grene tilbage?

Hey thanks Jim! ...appreciates! I try to use every opportunity to get some content into the movies ... otherwise it would just be another cut down. Great video man As an Arborist I have a big. Respect for trees and always try my best to make them as less damage as possible telling the clients about their value. Is a difficult thing in a country (world...) Where a tree has more value dead than alive. I see lots of company's out there that only have respect for money... If is ok for you I'll like to use your video with all the clients that demand that kind of job Best regards

Yes, that's the spirit!!! Of course, there are trees that have become too large, dangerous for traffic or buildings, or for other reasons make them unwanted. But where customers have a love for their trees, it's bad to see that pruning has ruined their tree. I also often point out that pruning is also an option rather than a tree felling. Speaking of money ...if it is done in a tree boilogist way, then I have at intervals of several years, been pruning the same tree 2-3 times. Sometimes I stop by prunings from the year before, to hear/see how it goes with "our tree" and sometimes they have another tree I also have to fix ... it must be what is called outreach work. Conversely, I have also said "no, I can not do that! You need to find someone else who will do it!" where customers will have planed the tree down to half height. Keep up the good work! Hej Pia! Det er Sejrskovvej i Hunderupskoven! Der er ingen forsegling der har en effekt ...tværtimod! Overmaling olign. fremmer bare råd fordi det holder på fugten og generer bare træets indbyggede værn som virker så længe beskæringen er rigtig og sårfladerne ikke bliver for store.
