I am so impressed the black rpm manifold did so well. It seems like a great piece for a circle track 2 barrel or spicy street engine. It's probably less expensive than most of the other manifolds as well. That is plenty of usable power for almost any racer.

Hey Eric, I am wowed by the performance of the black Edelbrock dual plane. I have one I picked up along the way and didn't think much of it. What a sleeper manifold for us street rod/street strip type guys. I have an Edelbrock dual plane air gap like the AFR parked next to it, and to be honest, I'm wondering if I should let someone else be impressed with how it looks. Maybe a couple more tests and flows or whatnot with the black edelbrock dual plane! Thanks for this series. I am certainly enjoying and benefitting from your work.

That's very interesting how the elderbrock just jump from midpack to the lead just by a burr finish. And the hurricanes were falling back a few spots. But pretty cool and I think if you do change the weight of oil it does change hp by a little.

Sounds exhausting, thank you for the technical content. I’ve got a couple questions: 1.) How similar is the Motown/BMP intake to the BM1000? They look very similar. 2.) I put a Performer RPM with a 4-hole tapered spacer on my wife’s 383 (10.8:1, AFR Street CNC 195’s, 241/247, .583”, 112lsa, 108cl w/ Holley Stealth Sniper). I’m wondering if it would have been better off with an open spacer instead of the 4-hole.

Since you’re in a controlled environment, you can run a thinner oil to maintain a more consistent oil temp and test baseline. I know you’re a fan of royal purple. Use a 0W-20 or 5w-20 full synthetic. You’ll probably get your power back that you lost.
@WeingartnerRacing
@WeingartnerRacing Жыл бұрын
Not really. I filmed a video that should be out on Sunday so you can see what Im talking about. However all the tests were done with close to the same water and oil temp to keep things consistent. If you heat the oil more you typically make more torque but because the engine is hotter you usually have hotter air temps that kill power.
