Frank miller gets a lot of credit for this. First miller made daredevil a noir book and then was able to complete his vision with sin city. Sin city’s popularity brought back the crime comic and helped get the indie publisher’s doing genre books. Just sayin!!!

If Superhero comics are going to be healthy and be able to compete I think the genre of superhero should have all the genres within it represented in healthy numbers.
