Steven Pinker gets my vote for a few reasons, the number one being his exceptional good nature & patience, perhaps exceptional tolerance might be a little more accurate. When being asked EVERY time about his optimism, despite having written & explained, very clearly, in precise detail why, & in EVERY interview, must be in the hundreds of times, that he does not consider himself to be an optimist & why. "This is a misinterpretation &..." he explains very clearly, in precise detail, with incredible good grace in EVERY interview, EVERY TIME, why that is the case. OVER & OVER, NOBODY, EVER acknowledges. - The next several hundredth interview: "you're known as the biggest optimist in ..., why?..." !! Christ on a bike! God in a hotrod! - I'd be asking myself why in HELL do I bother¿?¿? Has anyone who's interviewed him about his relevant book actually read his book (& acknowledged what they've read)? ANYONE? EVER? I hate unnecessary violence (I believe good faith discourse is the way) but, in his position, I’d imagine putting a gun between the eyes of the interviewer &, in Clint Eastwood voice, saying “think very,… VERY carefully about your next question… …”!

Such an important message to convey, it is a shame that the audio was so poorly managed by both parties. I hope a valuable lesson has been learnt. That said, thank you for making the effort to record and upload.

Mikhail this is amazing what you are doing but your production values are bad. You can't do this without a microphone dude, the echo is miserable. Also - get the users to use a microphone as well, even the apple headphone/microphones or whatever - his voice also sounds bad.

Pinker is more and more out of his lane now that he writes and comments on non-linguistic and non-psycholocical topics. His academic research background is as a cognitive psychologist. I liked his Language Instinct and Blank Slate period most.
