Excellent well presented production. very sad as many of the airlines had started operations when I first became employed in Air Traffic Control DC6' 7' 8' the Super Connies, early 737.even the 747 Short Haul. my past has gone before me, very sad to see Monarch go, Skyways of London, Eagle Aviation etc.,all but memories. Last Comet 4. G APMF BEA,oh dear, such a longtime ago.

I used to work these jets in the late 80's and early 90's at Bangor, Maine USA when they stopped for fuel and customs. Each airplane had a bit of its own personality. When I was on lavatory service which wasn't fun, G-MONE was the worst. It had a hockey puck style plug that held fluid back instead of the standard little flapper door on most B-757's and while the system should hold fluid back it didn't always and we always stood way away when we opened the door incase the plug didn't do its job. The crews were always great and got to know many of them. A buddy of mine that I worked with had a boat and we would occasionally get a crew to come out and do some boating. I remember the first A-300 that came through, it was a nice change from the usual B757.

Cant believe your gone MON...You were true low cost fares, plus great on board service, unlike some of these (rotten) scam Brit "Rip off" flyers still in service!!

Now Monarch ceased trading I wonder what happened to all it's aircraft
@northaviation79526 жыл бұрын
Jagga Singh most are thankfully with other airlines. 5 are with Thomas Cook, New Reg G-TCVA, VB, VC , VD, and LY-VEA (Leased Avion express) and 1 with tc Balearics EC-MVH and some are with Iberia and Nordwind, Aegean, Olympus. All but 2 are flying. G-OZBO is still stored, and G-ZBAP was unfortunately scrapped last month.
