They hit story beats accurately...kept the gods out of it...which gives it such a grounded feel to it...odysseus never fought with hercules...this is the bookend to the odyssey...the stuff i wanted to happen happened...the bow stuff was incredible...him slaughtering them all...goood fricking shit...you are looking for the action shots in just a serious drama

@@gambithavok8044 thanks for sharing your opinion. I was very bored and disappointed with it all things considered. I conflated the Odyssey with Jason and the Argonauts for a moment but the Odyssey has very exciting parts. This movie was not one of them

Obviously your opinion is valid. But I don't understand critiquing a drama using an action movie rubric. Like watching a horror expecting a romantic comedy. You're right this movie is not a good action movie. I was definitely expecting more from the third act too. But I think the drama was decent enough to be a solid drama. I don't know that the trailer sold it as some sort of Gladiator style action movie. Looked like a drama set in ancient Greece. Good luck on your movie projects! I'll be following!

I didn't know there were so many black people in ancient Greece haha

The movie was amazing it wasnt about getting the girl. This is the issue with men today they want all the enjoyment without doing the work... the payoff was amazing. This isn't an action movie. Cowards shouldn't make movies anymore they dont understand how to adapt stories of greater men.

I’m with you, but if you’re a “filmmaker,” shouldn’t you know how to say Ralph Feinnes’s name? (Rayfe) I don’t disagree with your take but you reduce your credibility when you mispronounce the lead actor’s name. It’s not like he’s new to Hollywood. He was Voldemort.

@@MassillonObie correct pronunciation of someone's name doesn't discredit my decades of hard work in the film industry lol

@ I didn’t mean to discredit your decades of hard work. Reducing your credibility isn’t the same as “discrediting,” though. I’d just say a tad of a reduction.

40 minutes is not enough action. When you have a bunch of nobodies in a movie, you need great action throughout.

The bible is awful storytelling. Meandering, tangential, inconsistent, excessively preachy. Mythology is pure storytelling. And only the good stories stand the test of time.

@@niallk9336 the Bible has thousands of connected scriptures spanning thousands of years written by hundreds of people with 1 central theme and had sold many billions of copies. Nothing is even close to as impressive, consistent or spiritually transformative. And no central character in history has been more impactful as Jesus Christ. So you can have that opinion but factual speaking the Bible is number 1 by a mile.
