I’ve played that very hole on a trip with friends, 3 rounds on the course, only played from the comp tees on one of them and didn’t score below a 7 on any round!! I can confirm the eagle was phenomenal there!

BRILLIANT, Mr. Parfield. For the longest time I haven't been able to understand why a lost ball amounts to a TWO shot penalty. It's bad enough that you have to hit another shot from the SAME spot, and that should be penalty enough!! The new "local" rule where you can drop IN THE FAIRWAY, no closer to the hole, two club lengths from the rough from where your ball went out of bounds or was lost definitely warrants a two stroke penalty since you are in fact advancing the ball, and the 2-Stroke penalty is meant to simulate the out of bounds being a lateral hazard, where after taking a drop, you were left with no choice but to chip out sideways into the fairway.

Brilliant to see Buzza back. I agree with Mark, I think having to play 3 off the tee after a lost tee shot is a double whammy. Not sure if this even makes sense but I’ll go with it anyway… if I lose my ball on a par 4 which I have a shot on, and play 3 off the tee. I then need to either up and down from I guess anyway between 80-160 yards to get 2 points. Or hit the green and 2 putt for a point. With my handicap being 18, that’s a clear indication that me making a birdie or par with my second ball to scramble 2 or 1 points is probably very unlikely. Would be interesting the see stats for the number of points amateurs score per hole after hitting 3 off the tee. I would guess over 90% of “3 off the tee holes” end in 0 points. I realise I’ve spoken about stableford a lot there as that’s what I play mainly
