It's not about being friends its CEDH and its not a may ability it's a forced interaction and Corey made a blunder. Happens all the time but that card should absolutely have gone to suarez and into exile. Also Suarez has access to a player's hidden information when they are searching their library because he controls them meaning he should have been allowed to look at their hands and see what they had. I don't normally worry if someone has the same Commander/and or commanders as I do. Normally we people play very different versions on the deck and it's good to see what people are playing. Well I don't think the pool of cEDH commanders is small at all, even removing partners. From 5-2 colors there are conservatively at least 14, 5 Color cEDH commanders 4, 4 Color cEDH commanders (Again not including partners) 60 , 3 Color cEDH commanders (not including partners), with at lesat 4 options in each color combination. And at least just as many if not twice as many for 2 color commanders, with maybe half as much for single color commanders. So conservatively, while leaving out all partner combo's, it's around 160 options for unique generals.

1:20 ish. it's not that big of a deal, one of the things that makes Commander the format that it is is the fact that multiple players can be playing the same commander but have different cards. And then there's still the RNG of effectively the top ten cards of the library and what you end up doing with those cards compared to your opponents and what your opponents got to work with. i feel it's the same argument of everyone starting the game with a sol ring compared to just one player getting to start the game with a sol ring. It happens, it happens. Even if it's literally a "mirror match" it's still going to make for a fun game as they will get different stuff than you as it's the nature of the format. i think i understand why Slicer, Hired Muscle is a "high power" commander. He does the whole "False God" thing but better and if he's transformed he's only a creature when it's your turn so board wipes that only effect creatures don't effect him. After taking a REAL close look at Nashi, Moon Sage's Scion i got REALLY angry. We finally get a second LEGENDARY creature that has ninjitsu and turns out you CANNOT do the thing Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow can do because Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow has "COMMANDER NINJITSU" and say what you want about Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow she's never going to be as good or powerful as Kenrith, Thrasios, kinnon, or tichwillow. But she's close. Nashi, Moon Sage's Scion should had gotten "COMMANDER NINJITSU."

Not sure about the inclusion of mystic in yuriko. Being a yuriko player myself more often than not I find myself discarding cards as early as turn 2. Card advantage is definitely not a problem for yuriko players and usually you’ll find yourself shaping the perfect hand to just hold onto and use in conjunction with top-card manipulators. I get that it’s a cedh build but it just seems sort of wasteful. 8 out of ten times yuriko is coming out turn 2 and you’ll be flipping your top card and going to discard. It would be more streamlined with yuriko’s gameplan if you were discarding something like wonder so the rest of the game you’re just keeping everyone on the back foot and shaping your hand. Include some 0 drop creatures and you’re off to the races it doesn’t need much more than that. Yuriko is one of those decks that is competitive simply by being optimized. It doesn’t need the fancy expensive staples you always see in all these other builds. That’s one of the reasons it’s so popular. Even running a budget, as long as it’s optimized, it’s competitive.

so the casual Andy? you can play competitive fine but it's just banter w/o salt. if want such a casual fluffy padded game night sure, your types are afraid to play competitive and will durdle for hours. your one those types if a "a commander is at the table to leave or have the rule 0". cedh is just more focused decks and if you play under-powered. it's just competitive player will hate cedh but you get more games in but gets more broken. casual Andy's like yourself probably want to just have fun, but I get fun to you isn't a broken stuff and afraid of over powered commanders/combos

If i want to play faster more focused games with multiplayer and politic casual fun I play brawl or oathbreaker or one of the other 60 Card formats. Step down from your high horse Mr. Cedh. @@DynaMike89 I apologize Came off as harsh, but here in my area we call "toxic casuals" or "Super casuals", they ruined the local FNMs years ago then polluted the earl edh scene here. I dodn't think you were and trust as former competitive scene grinder, even I understand the effects oppressive meta or play style and what you can do. You saw in this video because these guys are older players/grinders and you know they know they are screwed, you see they try to play to outs but its hard to counter the eventual outcome if a "plan comes together". after the game is over you see your mistakes then adjust, they did it and you could read their body language. EDH has various power levels and I hate the "youtuber/reddit enforced scale system of definitions on rankings". "Rule 0" is fine discussion but alot don't understand how powerful commanders are next to each other, then vary on their style of decks. Especially when a deck is "tuned" to do what its supposed to do, the deck will snowball every time. Cedh has this issue alot of the same themes/commanders and "good stuff"/essential core. Most EDH is just refined themes with adaptations for your tunings/synergy, you try to have fun and maybe win. I want to have my fun and have my tiered decks and then other lowers. EG my top decks are scion/ur dragon (dragon tribal)/Yuriko/Kaalia/k'rrick(1st deck) and 2nd tier- Niv-mizzet, parun/chainer, nightmare adept/MG elfball(Lathriel elfball). last tier that are fun types are go-shenti/codie/kozelik and then I have the 40k decks that are placing themselves(keeping mostly 40k themes). the 40k precons were strong but some you had to break off then build around, EG the chaos deck(you have 3 potential commanders in the deck. split off abaddon and bela'kor w/magus being his own theme). the 40k decks are very very fun and interesting to build around, like abaddon(cascade storm deck) storm deck and bela'kor(grixis kaalia w/good stuff demons). I kept the imperium theme with Esper tokens/aristocrat and then necrons(black artifacts matter w/death triggers), Lastly Tyranids(its RUG/temur monsters with counters). I pace them out and later its more meant to be fun vs oppressive.

@@Tiamatdlord hmm i think you missed the point of his comment a little there man. And you kind of proved his point. You instantly resorted to calling someone with a different opinion a "casual andy" and that casual players have ruined this and that, and durdle. At the same time, another persons opinion would frame you as arrogant and elitist. And many would say your "group" has ruined mtg etc etc. But that wasnt the OP's point. He was saying that we all play the same card game, but with different attitudes towards it. We all enjoy the game and banter for different reasons. And that is why so many formats exist. So instead of being a tool about it, try and realise that it is a hobby and just a game. Try to have fun and not ruin other peoples time, no matter what format you play.

@Mark Gregory I think you missed the point of my comment and you comment like you know your "points". this discussion was dropped and people like you or bots such as yourself post on it. he proved my point of what I thought of him as your proving yourself as what I think you are. Also why do you white knight types always come off as keyboard warriors? FYI most people who play the role of WH like yourself turns out to be a POS or has a closet full of skeletons. also I agree with you and depends on format but let's be clear here, every person has fun differently. You can't like your a saint but we both know your not, also I know your brave enough to back your words up or do a 1v1(prove right by your actions or attempt to prove me wrong). Also Mr White knight please realize something and sense the use of sarcasm here, but I mean no ham and let you be you. we come come different eras and play styles/ideas of fun, but have good life and let's talk or you can go on with your life(be happy)
