I really wish they would release a collection of just Dematteis Spider-man stories. Im not the biggest Spidey fan, but his Spider-Man issues are the last floppies I have in my collection. As for this story? It was alright. I really wish they just left Kraven dead and had his kids form a team to just hunt Spidey over resurrecting him. Woulda been neat if they blamed Spider-Man for Kraven's death, and have just a story where they uncover his mental issues and come to closure with that or perhaps do a horror comic where they can see a dead Kraven or its a hallucination that haunts their minds. I really liked Kraven's Last Hunt and wish they had done something similiar with Grim Hunt, rather then what we got with that story. Perhaps tackling mental illness in his children.

I forget which Back-Issues, but it was a black suit/red suit conversation where Sal went through how Spider-Man's web swinging functionally worked by shooting it out of his wrist and then 'catching' it really made me ask too many questions about the mechanics of something that should just be cool to look at.

I was expecting some cheap cash grab sequel to Kraven's last hunt but was pleasantly surprised by this. Sure it is still unnecessary but I like seeing Peter emotionally move on from a traumatic moment and it was sweet how worried MJ was for him. I might just go get a copy myself if I can find one.

This story involving "Suicide ghosts" felt a lot more relatable and sweet than Kraven's Last Hunt. A story where a man starts lapping spider venom, from a bowl, like a housecat.

Headcanon: There was a Ghost Rider story in 2008 of a fallen angel who could grant souls who committed suicide a passage to Paradise in spite of the sin. He was ousted from the Heavenly hosts for his fervent objection of "suicide is a sin" but still had power to grant souls access to Heaven if he wishes so. Maybe "The Wraith" is a precursor to that character. Or he could be Kindred, ayedunnowatevar.

@ 47:30 is a great moment that perfectly captures Back Issues, and how it helped me get more steadily into comics.
