As in general Sephiroth is more of a counterpicl character than a front runner all around vd all match ups kind of character. Seph super bad design is to blame. People have slowly realized he is not that goof and he is kinda gimmicky, but people are gonna place him top tier or almost top, like shulk, but without showing any tournament results. Like shulk. Think about it, Leo dropped him quickly and said he will first win with byleth before trying seph. Nairo is open to complain about seph flaws when other charscters hsve what sakurai took away from seph just because of his "range". A range that is comparable to byleth, shulk and the belmonts. Zackray dropped him week 1 and Tweek was the only potential true rep and now he put seph in the backlines. NeD SEEMS to wanna try seph as his main, but we saw as soon as any random character got the best of him, he switched bsck to P.T. Seph has problems...

Not that he drops him, it is just Sephiroth is a bad designed character that serves more as a counterpick than a front runner all around vs all matchups like Joker or Pikachu. Full zoner? Sephiroth loses, Full aggresive character? Sephiroth loses. Guess what kind of archetype of characters are top tier or nesr top? He realized that and as a pro competitor your job it to win;therefore, he found his true main( as of now) in Diddy.
