It's crazy to think about how much has changed both in-game and within the community between the timespan of demo 2.0 to this build! Good to see Nefault1st never gave up on this one, can't to give this version a spin! Had so much fun back in the day with the last build

i think if the score system was based around finding flashy combos incentivising creativity in approaching combat, through a staling system or a style bonus or something else, and the score needed to get a 5 star ranking was increased, that would help level the game up into something better than it is!

I'm happy that this fangame is back, I liked it so much and wondered when there would be an update, I loved this combat system and it goes well with Shadow, besides the moves being stylish and versatile, it would be cool to see how this style of gameplay would look with Sonic, just to see the moves he would use in battle

Shadows combat needs some work. If he had lock-on moves like his 06 homing attack that zip him towards enemies, that would improve the flow of combat a lot. The Gunvolt series' Talismans and Bullit Dash come to mind.

I think that the attacks being able to bounce around more and use enemies as tools to fling yourself in interesting directions by doing moves would be a more “sonic” take on 2d combat
