I really believe this is the 1st time in my life where I not only do not wanna go to Disney, But if someone offered me a free trip I'm not sure I take it. The last thing I want to do on a vacation is to spend it with my nose in my phone. I don't want to plan on my entire day out. I want to relax, have fun, soak up the magic that used to exist. It's bad enough we have to know 180 days in advance what we're gonna feel like eating that day. But the thought of micromanaging every second Goes against everything I love about the parks. My hope is since pretty much EVERYONE hates the changes. Everyone needs to just say no. If we stop paying, I guarantee they will boot this money grabbing miser!!!

@@television1088 I don't buy that. The Disney model is based on return visits. We stop returning, buying absurd add-ons that should be included, and all the spending that won't happen there (aka restaurants, gift shops etc), things WILL change & quickly. Just the pressure from the massive companies that own a large amount of the restaurants can cause change. The one good thing is this CEO SOB has been SO greedy that for many going at all, let alone several times a year, won't be a choice in this economy. The money simply is not there, so trips will be postponed or cancelled. He may rip people off in the short term, but let's see his overall bottom line in say a year or two. The issue is not so much having to buy a ticket to the Star Wars ride, the issue is that Disney is monetizing everything, and this will continue to grow and grow. If you want a waterfront seat at the Blue Bayou, you’ll pay extra for it. Want to see the Fireworks from the hub, you’ll pay extra for it. Fastpass attractions will all have their own separate fees, just like at Disneyland Paris. In the US, Disney is launching it with 2 rides per park to see what kind of press they get, and if the damage to the brand is financially worthwhile. I don’t think your day at Disneyland should be about constantly making small purchases on your phone.
@InNatureWeDie3 жыл бұрын
But if you think further than only the rides.... Think about the entrance fee of 100 dollars that's when you ride 10 rides a day 10 dollars a ride. You don't pay at the ride but in forward by the entrance. Everything you buy like Merch is pure profit. If you make all things free you get thing like people waiting 3 hours (wasted time) in front of the castle to have front view of fireworks. You pay to get an privilege. It's not a necessary thing. Are you complaining about prices at 5star hotels (people in low budget will never be there)
@tomcrossmanpictures3 жыл бұрын
I do see your point. I see this more like paying for a five star hotel, and then having to pay an extra $20 if you want to sit by a window in the lobby

You do know that Disneyland and Disneyworld Originally had Admission for just entry/admission to the parks. You bought tickets at a ticket booth inside the park. A little book of tickets AFTER you got in the park.. These would be classified into A/B/C And E TICKETS. SO a mainstreet ride or a train ride would be a A or B ticket. Tree House a C ticket...and Haunted Mansion or Pirates would be a ETicket ride. It's was the original Vision walt did.
