The simple fact that the game over screens are more graphic and terrifying than the actual jumpscares amazes me. The jumpscares however are still terrifying enough that I've actually jumped a few times. The developers really knew what they were doing when creating the animations. Especially Fredbear 2.0's at 1:19. The closer it is, the more terrifying.

​@@RickyDicky123 what makes a good jump scare isnt all just the animation. There's the detail on the animatronics, the ambience, the fear of them getting to you and the rising tension as they become more and more active. This game has really good animation and graphics. The designs to me aren't that creepy but they are rather uncanny in a way because of how huge they are and their weird silky, smooth looking texture. Not to mention that awful fucking scream. Not only that but either your camera is forced to look directly at the doors they come from or they jump from the corner and leap into your face. The whole point of a jump scare is to actually get you. They are quick and sudden and mess with your instincts and these jumoscares do it incredibly well. What makes a jumpscare bad is when it's not quick enough, too long, too little or too much movement, similar animations (as you can notice here, each jumpscare is different) and also the actual feel of the game before the jumpscare. The last thing you want in a horror game is the player to be like "ugh I'm about to die" - gotta keep the tension and unpredictability.
