This team is a part of Detroit like Faygo and BetterMade. Mort's demeanor should be the standard for news anchors. Carmen was one of my boyhood crushes. But beyond that, she well represented her city during some of our city's brightest and darkest moments. Chuck is still the best I've seen at making weather fun. And Bernie's personality was the right fit for the athletes and coaches we had in the 80s and 90s. You are all well-loved, well-respected, and dearly missed.

I was lucky enough my parents weren't sticklers on a certain time to be in bed as long as I didn't give em grief in the am to be up for school. I was also lucky that I watched these 4 people at 11 pm before I watched Carson who'd I stayed up for (I was a weird kid, not much has changed) but now I realize I think while I stayed up to watch Johnny I never made it through his show without falling asleep. It was this wonderful team who kept a kid interested enough to watch the whole broadcast. Waxing nostalgia is never a bad thing. Thank you for this reunion show.

I left Detroit for California in ‘96, and always liked Carmen Harlan and thought her “pretty”, but being home for Christmas around 1999-2000, staying with my mom in Royal Oak, we were shopping at Somerset Mall and bumped into her/Carmen standing at a sales counter in Nordstrom’s, I think, and was bowled over by how absolutely stunningly beautiful she was in person, we’re talking STAGGERINGLY beautifuL. Also, super warm& friendly…..just sayin’…..🙏❤️
