I see where you're coming from, and I almost agree, but consider how much Adrien reminds her of Chat Noir. She literally said, "who are you, chat noir?". And yeah, it was a joke, but there's still truth to that statement. And that wasn't the only instance. Maybe subconsciously Marinette knows Adrien is her partner, she just needed context, a little proof, and for it to be said out loud.

@@brighterthansunshine4355 You know on a side note, I thought it was weird how the story paired Ladybug and Cat Noir, then have Marinette pursue Adrien, just to give us this "twist" reveal. I think this could've done without the Adreintte subplot. But, it was cute, I'll give it that.

@@NoHandle44 I think the Adrienette subplot was useful because Adrien needed that validation that Marinette/Ladybug likes him for him. Adrien needed the reassurance that his lady never truly hated him.
