Alcée and Family - Why? You ask...Oh, that’s all too clear and easy...it’s because The Revolution’s “Mountains” performance was by far THE BEST and totally outshined everyone else’s. I guess someone didn’t want something like THAT happening. So hence...the removal. Makes no sense right? Ah huh, I no.

Same here, also my all time favorite Prince song. So mystical and magical, it's hard to explain it. Almost like a magic carpet ride, sort of what is shown in his video to this song. Even though I don't really know the true meaning of the lyrics of the song, I love it because it sounds beautiful, and it sounds really neat/cool. I remember when this song came out in 1986, I was only 15 or 16. Just hearing it brings back so many great memories. I only wish I was young again. Now I'm 50. I need to go back in time. I want to be young forever.

U cant do a Prince tribute show without giving props to the original purple gang, The Revolution. If Sheila E. made this call, I am truly shocked. I thought that she was about the music. There is no excuse to not have the best known, most flavored & most fun Prince band getting top billing. They were in one of the most iconic, freakin' movies for goodness sakes! Purple Rain was a huge for everybody in 1984. And especially for the black community - great music, original, funny & w a black male lead in 1984?? It was a huge deal. If there was a 'cookout' for movies, Purple Rain would always be invited. There was never a movie like it b4 & never has been one like it since. I really hope this wasnt an ego thing on E.'s part. I thought that she was a musician's musician & classier than that. Im speechless. Nonetheless > That performance brought tears to my eyes.💜🎶🤗✌🏽

THIS was by far THE BEST performance of the evening. Anyone who actually lived and grew up in the 80’s Prince and the Revolution era could feel his love and energy all over this song, track and live performance! I do believe only at this point The Revolution is the ONLY band that could purely still keep Prince’s spirit alive with new albums and live performances. Because (all though appreciated), shows like this and the Estate putting out never ending Prince vault music for us to own, possess and buy just ain’t cuttin’ it anymore. RIP Purple One💜💜💜💜.
