I had all these tunes and dub plates returning from JA in 1983 from chanel one and studio one and my sister who was carrying the box at the time left them on the ground outside victoria station it was a cold october too!!! I chose not to remember the cold but the tuuuuuuunes ,what a Blouse and skirts day that day was.

I cant hear anyone playing around with the spring reverb ,this an instrumental album not a dub album.no ones remixing any of these tracks,ive got a few king tubby cds and slum dub cd too, I know what they sound like sorry be saying this.some of the revolutionary stuff that I have taped off you tube is just elevator music.

They were made that way. Most Channel One records have echo.

@@DonaldStewartOnline No, the "echo" and "delay" sound effects. Joseph Hoo Kim who ran Channel One records loved it and used it alot. He was the first studio with the professional effect because the module was quite expensive back then. King Tubby on the other hand built his own from scratch using springs inside a box and a couple other parts. But Tubby's sound was never as clean as Channel One's cleaner sounding mixing boards and store bought effect modules. Most of Hoo Kim's equipment was british and very expensive. He used Avalon tube processors and Neve mixing boards which still cost's thousands today.

I hear nothing that needs sound improvements on these tracks. The reverb on each track seemed fine to me. The echo and delay you hear are deliberate sound effects that characterized Reggae Dub of the 1970s and 1980s.
