We took a family trip to Switzerland in July 2014. Visiting the Rhine Falls was a wonderful experience.
The Rhine Falls is the biggest waterfall in Europe. Over a width of 150 metres and a height of 23 metres, an average of 700,000 litres of water cascade over the rocks every second. It is located near the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland, close to the German border.
One of the most popular activities at the Rhine Falls is a boat tour that brings visitors close to the roaring waters. One also has an option for a trip to the rock in the middle of the falls and scenic cruises along the river. There are multiple viewing platforms around the falls which provide spectacular vantage points. It uniquely combines natural beauty, adventure, and historical significance.
