I'm learning this in middle school choir right now and...holy shit I love this song. I'm a bass and my soul and spirit get lost in the feeling of the music once that "Puts a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet" part kicks in. I've sang this song too with my choir and I instantly heard that the lyrics of the first verse are NOT THE ORGINAL LYRICS! Wow, is this because of censorship by China in Hong Kong? It's probably because it's a song whith a lot of metaphors. Daddy speaks of pigeons meaning women and also about leaving your wife. Probably doesn't sit well with the government.
