Your walking around Paris away from the beaten tracks gives a different perspective on this city. It is not all about crowds of tourists crowding around the same landmarks and beating the same pavements. Thank God. Many a times, I have had the opportunity the take the bus and stroll behind the Hôtel des Invalides, a place of tranquillity, spacious with high standard buildings. I don't know if you have ever been to Neuilly sur Seine but it is worth going there as this area borders the 7th and 16th districts. It stands for being the wealthiest and most expensive suburb of Paris. The nearest tube station is les Sablons but you can walk from Porte Maillot too all the way to the area. If I remember, this is where the American hospital is. Around Port Royal station is also nice. Keep on walking then, I will keep on watching.
