In regards to Trump being racist. While I agree with the notion that he has never said anything outright racist, like something Richard Spencer would say, I feel it's a bit disingenuous to say that he hasn't said anything that isn't racially charged. It's not surprising that his statements have lead people to believe that he is racist or at the very least, not the most progressive person in regards to his views on race. I'm not saying that you Richard Lewis specifically said that he hasn't said anything racially charged, but these instances occur so frequently that I think it's fairly obvious that Trump is, at the very least, extremely ignorant about race relations in America. And there are some statements he has made that seem to just be outright racially insensitive, ignorant or borderline racist. Some examples would be: He has on several occasions referred to black people as "the blacks." In his book "Trumped!" John O'Donnell, a former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City quoted trump as saying that “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys wearing yarmulkes… Those are the only kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else…Besides that, I tell you something else. I think that’s guy’s lazy. And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks." In 1997 playboy interview Trump himself even said that things O'Donnell wrote about him in the book were "probably true." He implied that because Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who was oversaw a class action lawsuit against Trump University would be biased against Trump because he was Mexican. Full quote here: “He’s a Mexican. We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings - rulings that people can’t even believe.” He defended himself against accusations of racism in 2011 by saying he choose a black man to win on "The Apprentice" which is the T.V. equivalent of saying "I have a black friend." Referred to Japanese people as "The Japs" in a 1989 Time Magazine profile Going beyond race he has made inappropriate statements about Jews and Muslims, implying that Obama was a closet Muslim on several occasions and that he was not a natural born US citizen. He's also said that he only wants Jews counting his money which I'm sure I don't need to explain why that could be construed as insensitive, and as Jew myself, yeah it's a pretty insensitive statement at least from my point of view. He also clearly does not want Muslims in the country since he just attempted to banned refugees from several majority Muslim countries for 90 days, an indefinite ban in the case of Syria, in an effort to keep out terrorism, something which every expert on the matter has said will not work and is the wrong way to go about things because it will foster more extremism. That means he's either too stupid to listen to experts on topics of which he is clearly ignorant or or he doesn't like Muslims. Those are the only two conclusions you can draw from such a policy. His policy was also not the same as Obama's in 2011 which some people have loved to point out. Obama increased vetting for Iraqi refugee's in response to a direct terrorist incident in Kentucky. He didn't throw down a blanket ban over 7 countries, all of which have never produced a Islamic extremest that was responsible for a severe attack in US soil in over 40 years. No, the extremists in those cases came from other countries, all of which are strangely are not on the ban list and strangely are countries Trump has business ties to. And when you consider that the majority of victims of Islamic extremism are other Muslims, he's simply making more people targets since they can't get out of the countries where they're far more likely to die. That is inhumane and un-American. If you live in the US your chances of being killed by a refugee Islamic extremist are so low it's absurd. You're literally 10,000 times more likely to be shot and killed by another American. You're more likely to be hit by a bus, fall out of bed and die, or be shot by an armed toddler. These are facts and they clearly don't matter to Trump. It's time we all stop pretending that Hillary was worse than Trump. Yes the Clinton's were morally compromised, no true rational person would say otherwise. Yes they peddled to a bunch of liberal bullshit to a bunch of liberal idiots (Pepe being a hate symbol and so on) and yes she was a flip flopper on many issues, took money from the Saudis (who were not included in Trumps Ban for some reason even though Saudi Arabia has produced more terrorists than all of the countries in Trumps ban combined) was just as much of a populist as Trump. I don't like Hillary Clinton at all but at the very least I could sleep at night knowing that she wouldn't institute unconstitutional executive orders, possibly jeopardize foreign relations with other countries, and nominate people like Betsy fucking DeVos for the secretary of education or a climate change skeptic for head of the EPA. It's time we stop pretending that SJW's and outrage mongers are as bad or worse than people like Trump. They aren't. They simply aren't. They're obnoxious and sometimes deplorable human beings and I hate them just as much as the next guy. But they don't have nearly the same impact or influence on the state of the world as the real people in power like Trump. And to make a distinction here. The people who acted violently at protests and smashed shit up were not the regressive left. They were actual radical leftists. I'm sure I don't have to explain the difference to you but this was seen at one of the riots that took place.twitter.com/wokieleaks1/status/827201032522448896 I don't quite remember if it was the UC Berkley protest of Milo or the inauguration so forgive me. I'm against violent protests too since they often seem to have negative consequences for the people who the rioters are supposedly protesting for. A big business doesn't really care if it gets its windows smashed in, those are easily replaceable, but someone not being able to go to work because they're place of work has been destroyed is fucked especially if they're living paycheck to paycheck. And here are all the sources I've used for all the information I've mentioned above: www.ibtimes.com/donald-trump-racist-15-controversial-quotes-president-elect-said-about-blacks-2447531 www.cnn.com/2017/01/27/politics/trump-plans-to-sign-executive-action-on-refugees-extreme-vetting/ twitter.com/astroehlein/status/825388473649594369 object.cato.org/sites/cato.org/files/pubs/pdf/pa798_2.pdf thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/317884-washington-state-judge-halts-trump-immigration-ban-nationwide I don't really expect you to read all this or respond to it but I wanted to put my opinion out there and felt I should be honest with you Richard since you're always honest with us and that's something I've always respected about you. I may not agree with you on everything but I'm still a big fan and think you're a character of tremendous value to esports and journalism. Have a good one.

Perceiving that someone is a racist does not make them a racist.... and this is the reason the left is so intolerable. If we go on one persons perception of something as "racist" we are living in their reality and not getting into the truth of the matter. I see nothing racist in Trump or the things he said so who's reality are we going to live in? Mine or theirs? Who has the right to deem a person racist without knowing their heart and mind ?

A second hand quote that he himself endorsed as probably the truth. If it was something he didn't say than presumably he would contest it's veracity considering how often he complains about the mainstream media telling lies about him.

I think the harsh reality is that most people who talk about this kind of stuff often deal with SJW type people on a more personal basis, being called a racist, sexist etc and never really have to deal with the nebulous concepts of what is going on in the government because it doesn't have any real direct effect on them most of the time. It's way easier to remember the time someone shouted in your face and called you a shit lord than it is to remember that Republicans are trying to defund planned parenthood. One of these things is objectively worse than the other but one of them is more personal to you therefore you equate them as being equally detrimental.

Göktuğ Yes but it is pointless if it is under the law and only effects him. You have no basis to warrant criticism of his actions as a citizen and businessman. As president he effects others so criticism of his policy is warranted.

1:17:40 Saying Trump has divested himself of his businesses is disingenuous. As I'm sure you know, he's put his money and the control of his companies in the hands of his sons, it is technically removing himself from the business but it brings into question whether they will be fully independent. In addition, he may have resigned from his companies but that is not the same as divesting his holdings.
