When the guys were talking about George Washington dying from Scarlet Fever, and the guys brought up the way of doctors back then doing “bloodletting”, there was also “co-irritation” where doctors would cut open part of their patient’s leg and pack beans into the wound to “attempt” to draw the illness away from the main source and into the packed beans wound.
